Business Plan
I plan to grow my business to generate $400+ per day, at which point I can pay myself for my work. I then wish to open a second location, or move somewhere bigger. (My current brick-and-mortar is 300sq ft.). I would like to make enough to regularly donate a percentage of income to local nonprofit organizations. The Pleiadian Altar is a disabled/woman owned ethically sourced metaphysical shop in Utah with an emphasis on community education to reduce the stigmas around energy work. My business is an LGBT safe space and we strive to give to our community. For example, we provide free toiletries in our restroom, and donate to Ink Against Cancer annually. I offer booth space for tarot readers and have given free space to readers who are disabled, homeless, or in shelters and in need of income. I am BBB accredited, have been featured in several local magazines, podcasts, and news sources, and my Google rating is 5 stars. My average sale is $30-50 depending on the time of year, I just lack the funding to advertise to get good foot traffic.

Self Identified Competition
There are several businesses in my county who have been around for 10-20+ years and everyone knows their name by heart. While the customers who come into my store agree that my products, prices, and atmosphere are better I need to spread the word about my business further so I become the first choice! My business offers full transparency about product sourcing, sells products from local artists and businesses wherever possible, and offers free workshops where we conduct meditations to improve self-worth and confidence. I go out of my way to create a safe environment for minorities as well as people with disabilities. Many other businesses in my area gatekeep and are not welcoming to those who are new to spiritual practices such as crystal healing. I started the Pleiadian Altar in 2021 at the age of 21. I am currently 24 and have a young audience which will grow as I do!
