This enables access to athletes with all disabilities to be part of a community. Presently,The CDC estimates 35% of the US population is obese. We spend 147 billion dollars treating obesity with medical costs. CDC shows 29.6 percent of individuals without a disability are obese, however 41.6 percent of individuals with a disability are obese. AIM is prevention as well as access. Many athletes with disability are not accessible for individuals with disability especially if need the least restrictive environment to be healthy.

AIM Therapy will have its own location and will become it’s own affiliated CrossFit box. AIM will provides CrossFit classes for athletes in the least restrictive environment working the philosophy of universal design to be accessible by the most amount of people. AIM Therapy will offer individual physical therapy including neuro affirming physical therapy that meets the individual where they are from a cognitive, physical, and mental and communication perspective. The physical structure will have one large CrossFit gym floor with two other CrossFit training areas. One will be ideal for small groups including 4-6 athletes and another training area slightly smaller in size. AIM will also have a basketball court as well as an indoor track. Basketball and track are other sports/activities that are fully inclusive and build community. Inclusive Fitness they offer programs for only athletes with neurodiversity Fit to Function- offers fitness training for individuals with acquired neurological conditions like stroke, brain injury CrossFit gyms AIM Therapy, is different in that CrossFit gyms scale the workout to meet the physical level of the athlete, however no CrossFit boxes scale the size of the environment and class. AIM works with non-verbal and verbal athletes with various communication styles including verbal, auditory, visual, gestural and tactile. There are pediatric physical therapy clinics but not for teens and adults who specialize in working with individuals of all communication and learning styles and variable cognitive levels. AIM provides physical therapy to all individuals regardless of communication and cognitive levels.
