S J AUTO REPAIR & SALES LLC (DBA MIKES AUTO CENTER | Application Preview

S J AUTO REPAIR & SALES LLC, operating as Mike's Auto Center, is applying for government grants to stabilize its financial situation following the impacts of COVID-19. The requested funding will be utilized to repay an SBA loan originally misunderstood to be a grant, as well as to cover outstanding bills, credit card debts, and interest accrued while maintaining business operations.

The business has a longstanding legacy, having been established by the applicant's father and running successfully for 40 years. The applicant has contributed to its operations for a decade, but since the pandemic, they have struggled to keep up with financial obligations.

The applicant emphasizes a strong work ethic and a commitment to their community, explaining that they have never sought assistance before and have always tried to help others when possible. The request for funding comes as a last resort after multiple attempts to resolve financial challenges independently. The goal is to return to pre-pandemic stability rather than personal gain.

In terms of competition, the applicant notes a unique environment where local businesses collaborate rather than compete, fostering a supportive community that values mutual assistance.

  • Funding Usage

Pay back sba loan that my understanding before I received was not a loan. Catch up on bills, credit cards and interests used to keep my business going. Not looking to put money in my pocket but to be back where I was before COVID and the economy crashed.

  • Business Plan

My father had this business for 40yrs. I helped run it for 10yrs before he retired. The business was growing great on its own. I just can't seem to catch up with payments and such since COVID. I never asked for help and always worked for what I have. I'm asking so late because I tried myself to get out of this but just not getting ahead. I have had so much bad luck that I could not put it all on here. I have helped do much work in my community. I have always tried to help someone in need if I can. Most of all I don't want to fail my family because of something (pandemic) no one could see coming. Thank you for your time to read this.

  • Self Identified Competition

I don't believe I have competitors. We all work together on this community and support each other I don't think we are different. Each shop has it's own unique techs.
