Superior Glass & Service LLC | Application Preview
Superior Glass & Service LLC is seeking government grants to enhance its operations by acquiring a storefront and an additional glass truck, while also increasing its ability to purchase materials for larger projects.
The business owner, with over 25 years of experience in the glass industry, has identified a growing demand for service-oriented offerings. The company collaborates with commercial property management firms to repair broken glass and install door hardware. However, it faces challenges in securing local or state glass supplier accounts, making it difficult to obtain necessary materials without upfront funds. Despite having some savings, the company struggles to fund a storefront and an extra delivery vehicle.
Funding is needed due to challenges in securing loans as a new business with significant deductions impacting initial income. The owner is committed to contributing to the local community by creating job opportunities and teaching valuable skills as the business grows.
The application emphasizes the owner’s extensive industry experience and established connections with property managers, highlighting the potential for business expansion given the demand.
In terms of competition, the business faces rivals like Trifecta, Mac Glass LLC, and Janssen Glass and Door LLC. The owner believes that dedication to customer service is a key differentiator; they prioritize communication, punctuality, and offer competitive pricing due to low overhead. A notable example of commitment is demonstrated by the owner’s return to work just two weeks post-knee surgery to meet customer needs.

Business Plan
I have been in the Glass Industry for over for over 25 years. I saw a demand for the service side of my industry. I work with Commercial Property Management Companies, I fix broken glass, doors and install door hardware. (and other things that are needed) We are finding it impossible to get a glass account with a local or even a state glass supplier. They won't give us an account. We luckily have a connection, and they are helping us, but it is difficult because we have to come to the table with all the funds so we can order our products. That also makes it difficult to come up with the funds to get a store front and an extra truck with a glass rack. When we get paid, we try and save it and put it back in the business, but we have to try for the bigger jobs which cost more. We are finding it hard to get a loan because we are new and not producing much income. We are but we have a ton of deductions. It's challenging but worth it. I want to be an asset to Gardner and bring business to our community. With that being said, when I grow, I can hire within our community. Teach others a new trade. Because I have been in the industry for over 25 years. I have the knowledge and experience to make my business successful. I have built lasting connections with property managers and my connections are growing. With more money, I can expand and grow bigger. I see it, the demand is there.

Self Identified Competition
Trifecta Mac Glass LLC Janssen Glass and Door LLC We all want to grow a successful business. I believe in connecting with my customers and giving them the best service possible. I answer my phone and I show up on time. I give a quality product and I don't have a lot of overhead so I can charge a decent price. I had knee surgery and showed up on a job 2 weeks after, because a customer needed me. That is dedication.
