3C Systems LLC | Application Preview
3C Systems LLC is seeking government grants to support the payment of two engineers and two CAD technicians for refining and producing design files for two key components of their innovative system.
The founders, who have substantial backgrounds in the energy sector, particularly among US shale exploration and production operators, are generating early interest from potential customers. Their system aims to significantly enhance shale well construction efficiency. By demonstrating the concept on a couple of wells, they plan to promote their new technique widely within the closely-knit industry community through various conferences and publications. Experienced sales professionals will be engaged once proof of concept is established.
The application emphasizes the founders' extensive experience in engineering and management roles at prominent companies like Schlumberger and Amazon. They hold a fundamental patent in their field, and their interventionless completions system stands out because it eliminates the need to pump hardware or tools between hydraulic fracturing stages. This capability promises significant savings in fuel and water usage for exploration and production companies, as well as time savings from continuous pumping operations.
In terms of competition, notable companies like Stage Completions and Wellboss also offer interventionless well completion systems, but their methods require additional elements to be pumped into the well for each new stage. The competitive advantage of 3C Systems lies in their use of advanced command/control technology that allows them to trigger pre-installed components efficiently, enabling access to specific well zones without the need for additional devices.

Business Plan
The founders are both energy industry veterans with extensive contacts in the customer base (US shale E&P operators). We have encouraging early interest from a few of these already. The fully-featured system can greatly accelerate the pace of shale well construction and a successful demonstration of concept on a couple of wells should be enough to begin broadcasting the new technique across the upstream industry, which is a tight-knit community with numerous conferences, meetings, and publications serving its members. We will engage experienced Sales professionals once PoC has been demonstrated. Our founders have decades of engineering and management experience (VP to C suite level) at Schlumberger and Amazon. We own the basic patent in the field of use. Our unconventional completions system is truly interventionless and requires no pumping of hardware or tools between stages of hydraulic fracturing - we can enable true 24-hour pumping and "push-button fracturing" in shale wells. We envision major savings to E&P companies in terms of fuel and water required to pump tools in addition to the time savings of never having to stop pumping.

Self Identified Competition
Stage Completions, Advanced Upstream (Calgary, AB), Wellboss - all have systems for interventionless well completion but all require some triggering element be pumped into the well every time a new stage of hydraulic fracturing is to be undertaken. We identified the technology gap in command/control systems early on - where our competitors are required to pump a device or tool into a specific position along a well that's being completed, we are using the latest addressable switch technology to trigger performance of pre-installed components to alternately access and isolate specific zones along the well for completion (fracturing).
