Ann's Daycare LCHO202000430 | Government Grant Application

Ann's Daycare | Application Preview

Ann's Daycare is applying for government grants to expand its childcare services by constructing an additional building on the property. This expansion will allow the facility to accommodate more children and enhance the overall care environment. The funds will also be used for necessary repairs to the existing structure and to replace outdated supplies.

The business plan includes hiring 4 to 10 new employees to support the increased capacity. With a current waiting list of 25 families, Ann's Daycare is clearly in demand. The owner notes that families typically remain long-term, with few transfers unless children age out of the program, indicating strong customer loyalty. Daily inquiries about available spots highlight the ongoing need for additional childcare options in the community.

In terms of competition, Ann's Daycare faces two center-based daycares and one in-home daycare. However, it distinguishes itself by offering personalized teaching approaches tailored to each child's needs, focusing primarily on behavior and secondary learning objectives. This individualized attention is seen as a significant advantage that appeals to parents seeking quality care for their children. The grant would enable Ann's Daycare to enhance its services and meet the demand from families in the area.

  • Funding Usage

Expand my child care into a seperate building on the property to be able to serve more children on site. Repairs that need to be made to existing structure and replacement of supplies.

  • Business Plan

If I can expand my child care to another area. I will be hiring an additional 4-10 employees. I offer quality child care and if I am able to secure funding I can expand my child care to more children so that they can have a safe, reliable, and fun place to be able to be cared for. I already have a waiting list of 25 families that are waiting for me to have an opening. I have very few parents that change from my care unless they have aged out of my program. I am receiving calls daily to see if I have any available spots open so I know that I will be able to fill any additional spaces that I can create.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors in my area are two Center Day Cares and 1 in home daycare. In my research the things that make me different and more appealing to parents is that I offer individual teaching to help each child excel. The most important thing is to find the thing that the child needs the most and help them to receive it in my care and at home. We work mostly on behavior with learning secondary.
