Business Plan
The plan is to scale the production and distribution of inventory. Partnering with retail stores, wholesalers, and continuing our ecommerce activity will be the sources of revenue. Securing real estate and employees and/or working with third party services for part assembly and distribution are some of the next steps. Also, media coverage and affiliate marketing will serve as major avenues of growth. The requested funding amount will greatly assist with the crucial next steps of the growth of my business and product. Moondial has garnered fantastic success in our initial crowdfunding campaign by achieving over 3x of our funding goal. Over 1,500 units have been ordered and $100k plus have already been generated via preorder and crowdfunding campaigns. The additional requested funding will be a major stepping stone for purchasing new inventory to expand business revenue. As the owner of this business and inventor of the proprietary product known as Moondial, I have been heavily invested in the design and execution of this product based on my fascination with the Moon, astronomy, and the cosmos at large. I believe in this product wholeheartedly and have a large community of customers/crowd funders who also see it's amazing utility and potential. This is a dream I've been working on for close to a decade and I am looking for additional funding to bolster and expand my current operations, which will enable a full breakthrough into the market and allow for enough inventory for partnering with online and brick-and-mortar retailers.

Self Identified Competition
This novel product stands in it's own category in terms of functionality, but there are aesthetically similar products, such as 3D printed moon globes, moon-based decor, and digital applications. None of the competitors parallel the combination of astronomically accurate aesthetic and horological precision of Moondial. We used publicly available data from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to generate a 3D printed moon model along with a patent pending lighting system which perpetually projects the moon phase with amazing effect.
