Eleese Hair Studio 85-400-7993 | Government Grant Application

Eleese Hair Studio | Application Preview

Eleese Hair Studio is seeking government grants to alleviate financial burdens and improve operations. The funds would be allocated to offset debt, cover payroll, and address issues with a malfunctioning HVAC system that was improperly installed. The studio has struggled to communicate with the contractor who installed the system, prompting the studio to file a complaint with the state.

Additionally, the funding would be used to enhance the studio's online presence through a new website and to provide further education for the staff, improving their skills and service quality.

The owners emphasize their commitment to creating a positive work environment and have faced challenges such as rising costs and unexpected debts, especially since starting the business during the COVID-19 pandemic. They believe that with the right support, they can grow their business, invest in their employees, and better engage with the community.

While facing competition from larger salons in the area, Eleese Hair Studio's personal approach and community involvement set them apart. They are dedicated to fostering strong relationships with clients and giving back to their local community, which they view as essential to their business philosophy.

  • Funding Usage

we would use this to help offset our debt, loans, payroll expenses and fix the air-conditioning system that was installed brand new when we opened and we were taken advantage of by the hvac guy. He put in the wrong unit, didn't change the duct work, and wont return our calls. we filed a complaint with the state but haven't hears back. we need this fixed but cant afford to do it. We would also use the money to build a better website and help further educate our staff with classes to further their education.

  • Business Plan

If we could clear some of our expenses we could invest in our staff and get them some much needed education to help sharpen their skills so they can exceed at their craft, we could also then do more advertising to get the word of our 2-year-old business out there. My partner and myself started this business wanting to make a difference in the industry. After working at multiple salons between the two of us, we wanted to create a happy, healthy work environment for both our staff and our guests. We are doing a great job, but the rising costs of products, minimum wage, nj sick pay, and shady contractors, we unfortunately have learned the hard way and have incurred debts that keep growing because we just can't seem to catch a break. We took a risk opening during the covid epidemic, and we love what we do, we love our staff and our guests, and we dont want to fail. We would make good use of whatever is invested nto us and our business.

  • Self Identified Competition

entourage lighten up We are in a small town in Northern Nj. We do not have any salons right near us, but the ones in the area are much bigger shops. We pride ourselves on being very staff/ family oriented and strive to keep a very personal relationship with our clients. We also love being involved in the community and do everything we can within our means to give back.
