Funding Usage
For now the time that my wife and I put into working on our business is free, but it would nice to actually draw income from our store. We are a dropshipping business so we do not maintain a physical inventory. We rely on our vendors to allow us to list their products in our store, to package and ship them for a fee for the services they provide. Two of our vendors, Doba and Spocket charge a monthly fee for their services; in addition they charge shipping and handling fees on each order we place with them. Both are based in the United States. CJDropshipping in based in China and does not charge a monthly fee, but does charge shipping and handling fees and shipping is approximately 7 days longer. All of those fees are calculated into the price of the product as well as any additional shipping costs. Shopify monthly 59.00 Doba monthly 39.00 Spocket monthly 59.00 Internet Access monthly 65.00 Advertising and Marketing monthly 500.00 to 750.00 (average 625.00) Web Support monthly 150.00 (freelancer) Office Expenses monthly 50.00 Total Monthly Expenses 1,047.00 Annual Expenses 12,564.00

Business Plan
We plan to use targeted advertising and marketing such as email, social media and direct mail to reach out to potential customers. We will collaborate with web specialists. We will continue to offer premium products of high quality, responsibly made, natural ingredients whenever possible. We will continue to use all the tools and resources available to us so that we can continue to learn about the business we have chosen. Watching industry trends to keep the latest and highest quality products to offer to our customers. We are just a couple that loves pets; they are our children with four paws. We see all the pets out and about that are spoiled by their owners, we do it too. We see the ads for Chewy, Petco and PetSmart that sell everything from A to Z for pets. Personally we do not like the big box stores, they just seem too impersonal. We state on our website that "we love you pets like they were our own" and we mean that. We are retired and living on a fixed income and continue to draw from our personal saving to fund our venture. Our goal is to become a sustaining and prosperous business for our children and grandchildren. The largest part of our funding request is for advertising and marketing. As with all businesses getting your name out there leads to more traffic and more sales. Having a professional that understands all of the nuances of the internet and advertising would make a huge difference; today a normal person can not begin to dance through all the hurdles the web holds. Secondly, we could add Spocket as a vendor. This would open up 1000s of products to choose from for our store's inventory. We only offer products that we would buy for our own fur babies. We have a lifetime of experience with pets as well as, two lifetimes of work and life experience to draw from. Knowing what practical is and what frugal means are important things in life and business those are important principals to us. We understand what having a pet brings to your life. They bring and immeasurable joy. comfort and value to so many people. Quality, connection, value and even a smile is what we offer on our website. We have created fun descriptions of our products; who doesn't enjoy a smile! We research our prices and set ours to be competitive, because we know that everyone is looking for a deal. We handle our shopping chat ourselves to keep it person. We know how frustrating it can be dealing with bots. We follow up on our sales to make sure our customers are happy with their purchase and offer a loyalty discount on their next purchase. We have even blogged recipes for pet treats that we have used for our own fur babies. We want our customers to be happy with their purchase and we want their pets healthy and happy as well. Great customer service will help our business to grow.

Self Identified Competition
Amazon, Chewy and Petco Wow! What doesn't Amazon sell? A true giant that very few can compete with. Delivery and speed. Chewy great name recognition! In fact, we used their services before we started this adventure. We hope to grow our business so that we might be able to offer subscription service to our customers in the future. Delivery and timely. Petco just walk in and get grooming, veterinary services, training and even adoption! Big box that offers it all. Anything you can imagine for pets. great if you are in a hurry, but not as friendly as they could be. Everyone has a dream of having a successful business; I know we do! Our dream is built on the loss of one of our fur babies. Tanner. He was an 85lbs lap dog that loved to sing. He was Pit, Hound, Ridgeback mix, okay a mutt. He was part of our family for nearly 14 years. About a year after he crossed over an idea came to me and we discussed it and began doing a lot of research on how to get started. After a million Google searches and about a year we were ready to jump into the dropshipping world. In that time we have both learned so much about the internet, computers, websites, products, ingredients, pricing, advertising and so much more! Who says you can't teach old dogs (broads) new tricks! We have learned to laugh at ourselves too! Our goal is to, yes make money, but to do it by offering quality and value and not just quantity.
