Kingdom Mission Outreach | Application Preview
Kingdom Mission Outreach is seeking government grants to enhance their outreach efforts that began a year ago. They operate a center that can accommodate 50-70 people but currently serves 80-100 individuals each week, offering free clothing, hot meals, and access to community resources. The organization aims to secure funding to expand into a larger facility, which will not only allow for increased service capacity but also improve awareness of their offerings in the community. Additionally, they require a new van for a mobile office to distribute supplies directly to those in need in central Kentucky.
Their business plan indicates that a larger location would enable them to serve more people and create a dedicated space for volunteers to support their clothing bank and assemble hygiene and emergency food kits. Currently, they operate out of their home due to limited space and view this expansion as a step towards becoming a larger organization that can impact more communities.
The outreach began in 2020 with a familial effort to assist those on the streets. Kingdom Mission Outreach believes they fill a crucial gap by helping individuals navigate the system, particularly those hesitant to seek help due to past records. The organization has garnered support from various financial donors and churches, which they believe will sustain their growth in central Kentucky and beyond, evidenced by successful transitions of individuals from homelessness to stable housing and employment.
They see themselves as pioneers in this niche, with no direct competition, focusing on forming partnerships rather than rivalry. Their competitive advantage lies in their mobile approach, bringing services to those in the most vulnerable situations, rather than expecting them to seek out resources. By building relationships and trust within the community, they are able to aid individuals more effectively in accessing the support they need.

Funding Usage
We opened an outreach center one year ago that can hold around 50-70 people safely, and we have on average 80-100 coming weekly to receive free clothing, hot meal, and community resource opportunities. We want to open a larger building to accommodate and be able to advertise our services. Also need newer van with mobile office and way to take supplies out on the streets of central Kentucky.

Business Plan
If able to move into a larger location, will be able to serve a much larger portion of the community and advertise the services we are now providing on a small scale. We also need space for the many volunteers to come and serve the clothing bank and put mobile hygiene and emergency food kits together. This location would also serve as our office as we are working out of our home at this time because our space is so limited at current location. We see Kingdom Mission Outreach growing into a large scale organization moving into more communities and states. We started going out on the streets as a family serving them in 2020 and we feel so strong that someone needs to be the bridge from the streets to the services and the new life that is waiting on them. Many have records and fear getting into the systems. We help break that cycle and bridge the gap for them. We now have multiple financial donors, churches, and monthly partners financial this organization and we know we can continue to grow into central Kentucky and beyond as this system is very effective. We have seen many get off the streets into housing or programs and are now successfully working and into their own homes,

Self Identified Competition
We feel we are pioneers into this opportunity and we see no one doing exactly what we do and we are successfully changing lives and community issues. We don't see anyone as competitors, only as potential partners to assist with their resources also. Community resources are stationary and people are expected to come to them for services. We go to the people and service them right where they are, whether it is at the worst locations in the community, tents on the side of the road, or the drug infested motels in the region and serve them on the street. We then draw them to the center after becoming their friends and start the process of finding their needs and getting them to the resources they need including transportation to the resources. Its about developing relationships and trust first, knowing we truly care about them as a person not their situation.
