  • Business Plan

I’m actively in talks with leasing space and opening up a commercial roastery. I’ll then sell wholesale to other coffee businesses, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, bars etc. Anyone in the market to retail coffee in their establishment. If this goes well we’ll need to take on a delivery van which will cost more money on insurance and monthly expenses. Possibly add employees if we can scale it to what I expect will happen very quickly. I gave up a very good career to become a stay at home dad when my daughter was born over 2 years ago. My dream was to work for myself and control my hours so I don’t miss all my time with my family like I would have working for my long term employer. By sacrificing that income it has been very hard to get my company off the ground since I’m only part time. In the last two years I’ve been able to develop a brand, website, online sales, a large percentage most likely over 80% return customers and network around the community. Raising my family became a priority over my career and now with inflation crippling everyone it has slowed my pace I originally intended significantly. The grant would go directly into building a local, fresh roasted coffee roastery in SE Wisconsin along with a future for my kids. Hoping to keep a family business around for a very long time.

  • Self Identified Competition

Stone creek Colectivo coffee Anodyne coffee All three are very large coffee companies that aren’t from my area. But they are saturating our market and devaluing coffee just to keep everyone from taking off. I want an actual local company in my area to support the direct area they’re from. I focus on air roasted coffee which I do not believe they do. I also think my story and history back up my love of community service and dream chasing. I pride myself in roasting organic beans, small batches, quality control, great customer service and giving back to the community. Even in my early stages I have made multiple donations to schools, lost officers families for funeral expenses, teacher giveaways etc. I only plan on increasing my footprint directly in the community as I can afford to do so.
