Rainbow Hands LLC | Application Preview
Rainbow Hands LLC is seeking government grants to expand their direct care personnel from 2 to 20 staff members. This increase would enable them to serve 20-25 clients effectively. The company also intends to introduce therapeutic consultation services for individuals under the Medicaid DD Waiver.
The urgency of their request is amplified by the rising number of autism diagnoses in the U.S., where approximately 1 in 36 children are identified with Autism in 2023. With over 75 million people affected by autism spectrum disorder, existing providers in the New River area are facing client waitlists, leaving many children without necessary services. Rainbow Hands emphasizes the effectiveness of applied behavior analysis, an evidence-based practice that improves social and self-care skills for individuals with Autism, while also equipping parents with essential skills for their children's development.
In terms of competition, Rainbow Hands identifies other providers like Compass, Supportive Care ABA, and Therapeutic Alliance. They highlight their competitive edge, noting that many competitors offer limited services—either exclusively telehealth or restricted to clinic or home settings. Rainbow Hands plans to provide a balanced approach of both in-home and clinic-based services, allowing clients to generalize their skills in various environments. Their personalized care strategy ensures that each client receives tailored support to meet their unique needs.

Self Identified Competition
Compass, Supportive Care ABA, Therapeutic Alliance Other providers such as Therapeutic Alliance has licensed supervisors that are only available via telehealth, which negatively impacts training of direct care staff and results in substandard care and services. Other providers such as Compass only provider services in clinic, and Support Care ABA providers only in home services. When services are implemented in one setting, it can result in clients not learning how to perform skills with multiple people or in different settings. For example client will utilize language with therapist but not at home with parents. In home services has challenges in working on social skills with peers, due to lack of opportunities to interact with peers. Rainhow Hands will provide a mixture of in home and clinic based services that will result in clients generalizing skills. Rainbow hands will have a personalized care approach to each client that is individualized for each clients needs.
