TJ's Plumbing 88-333-2725 | Government Grant Application

TJ's Plumbing | Application Preview

TJ's Plumbing is seeking government grants to purchase a new mini excavator machine. The funding will help expand the business by allowing the hiring of an additional full-time plumber and the acquisition of a van for their use, aimed at increasing revenue by taking on more jobs.

The owner has successfully grown from a solo operation to a team of two employees and two vans, supported by an increased advertising budget to reach more potential customers in northern Kentucky. Despite facing competition from established businesses, including two larger firms with over 20 employees, TJ's Plumbing is gaining traction by addressing jobs that competitors avoid, enhancing credibility through quality work.

What sets TJ's Plumbing apart is the personalized service offered. The owner directly handles customer calls and oversees work in the field, fostering a direct relationship with clients. This accessibility allows for immediate responses to questions or concerns, unlike the typical office-based service approach used by competitors. Additionally, all employed plumbers are licensed, giving customers confidence in the services provided, something that many competitors cannot guarantee.

  • Business Plan

by hiring another full time plumber and van for him to use so I can bring in more revenue by doing more jobs because I have grown my business from a single member (Me) to a company with two other employees and two vans on the road. I have upped my advertising budget in order to reach more people in northern ky

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors have all been in business for 5+ yrs. One is a smaller sized company that offers the same services as me. Two businesses I consider the "Big Guys," are major competitors in the service area. They have 20+ employees as well as vans. They have been in business for 15+ yrs, but I am quickly taking their customers as I keep coming on jobs behind them to repair their work. That boosts my credibility as well as doing many jobs other companies flat out choose not to do. Whether it be cause of time and scheduling issues, or they just don't want to get into the job because its too big or too nasty. The thing that makes me way dif than competitors is that I handle all calls and do work in the field. It gives people a feeling of me and my team being they're personal plumbers. They have a question or concern their call comes directly to me so I can help them out personally and quickly. It allows the customer to reach the guy directly who is doing the work for them instead of having to call an office and leave a message and hope for a call back. All plumbers I send to customers houses are licensed. The others cant say they do that.
