WisCo Cheese | Application Preview
WisCo Cheese is seeking government grants to acquire a truck and trailer, which will enhance their operational efficiency and reliability. Currently, the business relies on multiple high-mileage vehicles, hindering their ability to participate in events across Colorado. With this funding, they aim to expand their presence at local events and potentially those throughout the U.S., such as Air Shows and Country Jam, especially after the owner's wife can join the business full-time in three years.
The company's business strategy focuses on remaining in Colorado to keep costs manageable while fostering relationships with local farmers and businesses. Since starting in 2019, WisCo Cheese has developed a unique product that combines locally-sourced Colorado produce with celebrated Wisconsin cheeses, overcoming challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic to create a successful brand.
Despite facing competition from similar businesses, WisCo Cheese has established a strong market presence through its distinctive fried curd product. Their commitment to quality and storytelling has built a loyal customer base that continues to return. The owners are determined to ensure that WisCo Cheese becomes a well-known name, driven by their passion for their product and the connections they have made along their journey.

Funding Usage
A truck and trailer would help our business become more reliable and streamlined. We cannot travel without using multiple vehicles that all have 200,000 miles on them. This funding would open doors for us to do more events around Colorado.

Business Plan
We plan on staying in Colorado working events locally keeping the licensing and travel costs down. My wife will be able to help full time in 3 years after she gets her 20yrs vested in at the school district. We will be able follow events around the U.S. that pass through Colorado such as the Air Shows and Country Jam. We have created a unique product using fresh Colorado grown produce mixed with world renowned Wisconsin cheeses. While my wife and I were both born and raised in Wisconsin we have created relationships with local farmers and businesses people who implemented our concepts to their events. As we have grown since beginning our adventure in 2019. We have survived through covid and have consistently created pathways to success along the way. As we have found out that there are many ways to achieve success when you produce a superior product that people will always come back for more.

Self Identified Competition
While we have seen people follow in our footsteps mixing Colorado and Wisconsin. Brick and mortar businesses have copied our blends of cheeses. Farmers have expanded on our concepts mixing more cheeses and more farmers produce. Our business has traveled a pathway that only we have paved. We have reached customers all around Colorado with our one of a kind fried curd. People have alway come back for more. We enjoy sharing our stories and our passion has continuously grown along with our business. We won't stop until everyone knows WisCo Cheese curds.
