Beecon’s Yoga 605461204 | Government Grant Application

Beecon’s Yoga | Application Preview

Beecon’s Yoga is seeking government grant funding to enhance its studio offerings by purchasing essential equipment, including yoga mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, sound healing instruments, and a Reiki practitioner table. The studio can accommodate 13 participants and aims to provide a range of services to promote wellness in the community.

As a new yoga studio in Stevenson, which currently has no other local studios, the business plans to generate awareness through partnerships with local businesses and community events. Advertising strategies will include social media promotion and collaborations for events such as women’s retreats and smaller pop-up activities.

The funding request is rooted in the belief that the community lacks sufficient healthcare services. The owner has a personal passion for yoga and its transformative benefits and is committed to fostering emotional well-being through workshops for both adults and children. The unique approach taken by Beecon’s Yoga emphasizes inclusivity, breaking away from conventional stereotypes of yoga. The studio will cater to all demographics, encouraging everyone to reconnect with their bodies and embrace yoga as an accessible practice.

Overall, the grant funding would greatly support the establishment and growth of this inclusive yoga studio, benefiting the health and wellness of the Stevenson community.

  • Business Plan

Stevenson is new to having a yoga studio, there aren’t any other studios in town. I plan to advertise through all local businesses and hold events with the community. I plan to do extensive advertising, utilizing social media platforms and other events to promote my services- such a co/hosted women’s retreats, festivals and smaller pop up events with other local businesses. Our community is in need of more healthcare services. I aim to provide something that I think is truly essential. Yoga in general has changed my life and thus i have become very passionate around what I do and the services I provide. I have seen first hand the life changing benefits of yoga and meditation. Not only would this benefit the adult crowd here in Stevenson but I also run younger based workshops that help children learn to work through emotions and connect body / mind through breath work, yoga and play. My passion for these modalities is unwavering and I really appreciate you taking time out of the day to look at my application.

  • Self Identified Competition

There aren’t any other studios in the area. Unless you want to drive 45-50 mins I’m not your run of the mill yoga instructor- I aim to have people connecting with their bodies. Not aiming to see who can do the coolest pose. Yoga in general gets a bad rap all you see in advertisements is fit young people doing these somewhat unattainable positions. I want to change that. Young, old, fit, unfit, overweight, skinny, male, female. Yoga is made for everyone. People need to know they CAN do this and I’m here to be that voice. I hear to show them the way back to themselves.
