  • Funding Usage

We need to purchase another vehicle and another set of tools. This will allow us to subcontract an additional crew to better serve our customers. When the storms came through a few weeks ago and knocked out trees, power lines and fences, we were not able to help as many community members as we only had one vehicle and one set of tools and not enough sub contractors to help people with the fences that were laying on the ground. People needed their fence restored quickly, mainly to keep their pets in. We were not able to help many families because we only had one vehicle and one set of tools.

  • Business Plan

Our business plan is to be able to have at least 3 crews available within the next 5 years to better serve our community. Although we do render a profit, fence repair as a whole is a low profit margin business. We work on and complete one job at a time. We do not drop a lower paying jobs for a higher revenue or higher profit jobs. We feel that every project we accept regardless of margin or revenue is just as important as higher profit jobs. The customer needing the small fence repair is just as important to them as the customer needing a full replacement. We plan to offer an emergency fence service to help families with a down fence to have something to get them through until we can come out an fully repair their fence. We believe is serving everyone regardless of profit margin or revenue. All Square does one job a time. We beleive every job is equally important to the customer regardless of revenue. If we are fortunate enough to be awarded the grant, we soley use the money to purchase another vehicle, tools and supplies to employ a sceond crew of subcontractors. As mentioned before, when storms came through our area a few weeks ago, we were not able to help as many people restore their fence because we had jobs already scheduled and did not want to drop the focus that were already on the schedule that waited their turn to have their fence repaired.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are several companies that offer fence repair but they are not soley dedicated to fence repair. We do not paint, we do not install decks, and we are not a handyman service. We repair fences. That's it. So while we have lots of bigger fence installation companies that we compete against if a customer inquires on us to install a fence, we have yet to find a company totally dedicated to repairing or replacing fences. We feel we have found our niche and really only want to expand within fence repair and help our community one fence at a time. We believe our business model is like no other. We pride ourselves on NOT being a "jack of all trades" if you will. We are dedicated to repairing fences and fences only. As mentioned before, we are not a handyman service, we do not remodel or repair or replace decks, we are not painters that will take a fence repair job just to make money. We believe being good at one thing is really important. We do not pretend to we can take on any project. Fences are our only focus.
