  • Funding Usage

I need a brick/mortar store (location) so I sell my garden art pieces that are too large to ship. They need to be sold through walk-in traffic insteas, due to large dimensions and much of it being vintage lawn art and decor. Also, the focus of my business is to sell smaller planter pots and tiny, new Succulent plants (grown by Nurseries). The general rent space for approx 850 sq ft retail space is approx. $1550/month in my area. I'm seeking grant funds to help to cover a 6 month lease (or 12 month lease if possible, please) so I can more quickly obtain a location for my new business to operate at, where there would be walk-in foot traffic. Thank you.

  • Business Plan

In addition to growing my business by having a brick & mortar store where there is foot traffic, I plan to grow my business within the next 5 years by: 1) providing continued, excellent customer service and value of my products. Note: My (brick/mortar) shop will sell many varieties of new, tiny Succulent plants that customers also buy from me (along with the succulent planting container and any additional creative planting accessories for their potted plant, using the options & accessories offered by my shop.. 3) I intend to have a patio workspace (too) for my shoppers to assemble their newly created garden art design that they purchased from my store. This would be a value-added service and experience for them. 3) Continually create and re-curereate my shop's displays/products and also grow my outdoor "yard" garden art collection to choose from. The patio will eventually be covered on yard art for sale along with picnic tables to sit in the art garden. 2) I will continually reach out to potential & new customes for increasing my Subscription Order and repeat customer count. I will continually market my products to potential new customers by running ads to promote my company's products via FACEBOOK, IG, MY WEBSITE, etc. 3) I am currently sourcing local opportunities where I can do Pop-up Events, local Farmers Markets and/or any upcoming Fairs/Special Events. My city is in desperate need of NEW LIFE/NEW BUSINESSES and things to do. They (City of Desert Hot Springs) has recently advised its RESIDENTS that due to lack of funding for our city, some of our essential services may be affected (cut, soon). The upcoming funding cut are due to our local economy being so desolate. I believe, with the addition of my new, exciting small business (a garden art design shop and store where we sell (mostly) smaller planter containers, the related succulent plants and lots of options available for enhancing garden ) I'm very passionate about my developing my business and its upcoming success.

  • Self Identified Competition

Oddly enough.. I haven't currently find any direct competitors in this particular mart space. Along this line, I have already begun the process to Trademark my company's name based on the design and planting experience that my business offers people. To my knowledge, my business concept and company setup is quite unique - and, no direct competitors in thos particular creative space! My store will offer beautiful displays and decor and items for purchase and it offers beautiful product displays, an enchanting atmosphere that is also a fun, joyful place where people of ages (from about 7 yrs or so) and up could get to go to - for decorating and assembling the planter pot they chose from my inventory. Having a brick and mortar shop would help further foster people's creativity and their overall experience at my company, Along this line (since what I have to offer is rather unique to buyers), both the decorating & planting experience the in-store shoppers receive, (along with.my company name) are actually one and the same.. both are called "Pickapot". Thank you.
