  • Funding Usage

I have been in business since 2013. I started as a mobile boutique. I traveled all over and ran my business out of an RV. In 2018 I took my business to the next level. With this money I would pay off the high interstate loans I have with pay pal and square. I will also use the money for inventory and to expand an area in my store for Plus Size Women's Clothing. I realize right now we are in the middle of a crisis with Covid19. I would also use the funds to help us until we are able to open our doors again. We do have a website and we are aggressively working on building and promoting that. Thank you so much for your consideration.

  • Business Plan

We plan to grow our business over the next 5 years by aggressively promoting ourselves through social media, our website, and local trade shows. We are open 6 days a week and have a great following and have grown 88% in gross sales since opening our store front in our first year. I have been self employed for 30 years. I was a successful director with a direct sales company for 25 years. Being self employed can be challenging to get a loan to start a business. A couple of years ago I sold my home and used the equity to transition from my mobile boutique to my store front (my dream). I have financed things my store needed, including inventory, through Pay Pal & Square. The interest rate is very high with both of these companies and eats so much of my profit. The money from a grant would help me to pay these high interest loans off and be able to purchase inventory a season a head of time as a boutique should. I'm currently only able to buy for the season I'm in. I LOVE owning this boutique and love the women who shop with me. I truly was born for this. I would appreciate it so much to be considered for this grant.

  • Self Identified Competition

Lillie's Boutique~ This boutique is across the parking lot from me. We actually help each other. She was established there a few years before I moved in. There is already great foot traffic in the shopping center. Her market is similar to mine, but caters also to a younger group of ladies. It is a win for both of us being across from each other. English Rose~ This is a beautiful boutique a couple of miles away. Their online boutique & VIP FaceBook Page is more competition than their store front. This has caused us to step up our game in this area. We are learning from them! Apricot Lane~ This is a cute new boutique that came to town right before the holidays in 2019. They are a super trendy chain store. I've lived in Amarillo since 1984. I feel like I know everyone here. It's so much fun having this store! I know what sets us apart! I had not thought about it until now. We have quite a few boutiques in town. Women LOVE shopping at boutiques. The boutiques here mainly cater to women 18 to late 30's. I believe we cater to the women in their 30's plus. This is a great age group, they have the money to spend at boutiques and they are LOYAL shoppers! We also have some plus size women who shop with us. We want to expand that area if we are given the financial opportunity to do so. Our customer service is outstanding as well! We know women have a choice when they go shopping and we want them to know how much we appreciate them and their business! Lastly, our prices are crazy good! Women don't want to spend a lot of money on trendy pieces.
