I would invest in continuous education to improve my offerings to clients.

  • Business Plan

My growth plan is to begin promoting my business on various social media outlets including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. I will participate in local networking events similar to "Melbourne Women Rock". l will also be leveraging my existing professional network through word-of-mouth. These efforts will allow me to gain clients through several different channels and maintain a sustainable business. Finally, satisfied clients will provide testimonials and make recommendations to their friends, family, and colleagues. Elisa Perkins Career Coaching and Mentoring will assist individuals with a goal to obtain a position in the highly competitive field of Medical Sales. My 20 years of experience in the industry in addition to my Coaching Certification will provide a unique opportunity to guide and teach individuals who are new college graduates, those wanting to transition their careers, and individuals who are returning to the workforce after an extended career break. My services will be Medical Sales focused and will include: Resume writing/editing, current job search strategies, networking strategies, LinkedIn optimization, and interviewing skills. I have spent the past 20 years mentoring and coaching many new employees at my corporate job and provided informal coaching assistance to those aspiring to follow the medical sales career path. This helped me to realize that there is a need for these services in the rapidly changing, extremely competitive job market. Mentoring has always been a strength and a passion for me and I believe I can do more to help individuals that want and need it. This type of resource was not available when I set a goal to transition from being an Exercise Physiologist in the clinical setting into Medical Sales. It took me over a year to finally get an offer and break into the field. I am blessed to have experienced a long and successful career that included awards, being recognized for my accomplishments, and ultimately helping many patients along the way. I recently experienced a layoff that resulted in an extended career break and it was extremely difficult to navigate the current job market. I had to learn how to break into my chosen field all over again, so much had changed since I actively searched for a job in Medical Sales. When I finally "broke back in", I decided it was time to share my knowledge and learnings as I am now in an opportune position to help people just like myself to achieve their goals.

  • Self Identified Competition

thepharmacoach.com I am specializing in helping 3 populations. Individuals who want to transition into medical sales from another industry (like nursing), new college graduates, and people who had to leave a career in medical sales for a career break and are trying to become re-employed. I am different than my competitor/s because not only do I have 20 years of experience in the industry but I also have real-world experience breaking into the field without sales experience and had to navigate the job market after an extended career break. Many of my competitors are recruiters in the field and have never actually worked in the industry or tried to get hired in the field. Other competitors are out of touch with today's job market and cannot provide the same perspective that I have being that I just navigated this challenging job market recently.
