Funding Usage
We are looking for funding to help increase the production on our family farm. We would like to build a multi-use barn. We have identified a direct need to produce/birth our own calves on the farm. If we didn’t have to source all of our calves from other farmer/ranchers we would be able to decrease our costs while increasing the quality of our products. We currently have a feedlot but would use this facility to birth our calves and house them until we were able to pasture them. We would also like to open the barn for tours to our local FFA and 4H chapters as a farm to table educational facility.

Business Plan
Our plan for growth is always at the forefront of our business plan. We work diligently to assure that we are providing consumers the highest products. We currently provide to large packing facilities as well as local freezer beef. This allows us to support local butchers and provide local families with a full farm and premium quality for less dollars than the grocery store. We would love to keep expanding our beef production for freezer beef by 50%. Currently we do about 30-35 head per year and we would like to be over 60-75 in the next 5 years. If we are able to breed, raise and finish out our market animals and provide that product directly for local consumers, we believe that our quality will improve. Therefore, providing our local market with a wonderful eating experience. By adding a barn approximately 100ftx100ft will allow us to provide just that. We are a small family farm. Scott, the current managing member, my husband, is the 5th generation farmer. We have a beautiful family, with three daughters that we hope will be the 6th generation. Our daughters are involved in the farm and we hope will want to continue with our with our passion. With ever changing markets and the constant need for premium quality, we are hoping to do just that. We also love working with youth in our county. We volunteer as both FFA alumni, 4H alumni and a current 4H volunteer advisor. We hope to invest and educate the youth in our county to learn first hand about beef production locally.

Self Identified Competition
We have competitors technically all over the county and surrounding counties for all the same products that we supply. We by all means support all the other farmers and this operation increasing shouldn’t impact anyone else financially. What makes Leedy Farms, LLC different than other operations in our area is that we are a diverse market. We provide to United States packers as well as local families in our communities. We understand the importance of providing quality beef to local consumers, local restaurants and wholesale. With this new facility we will be able increase our production and provide a full farm to table experience for our customers. We also open our facilities up currently for tours and to other up and coming operations for inspiration.
