Funding Usage
I will use the funds to make my home safe, buy supplies, packaging tools, and anything else I need to get my business going, and keep it open until I can make it a success. I have no income right now so a grant is the only way I can start my cottage food business.

Business Plan
In the next 5 years, I plan to move from a cottage food business to a retail cookie company. I want a business I can pass down to my daughter. I plan on finding any place where I can sell my cookies and bring along all my social media followers ( I haven't started any accounts because I haven't started my business yet) on my way and about the day-to-day business. I want to spread the message that anyone can do this if I can at 47 and start my life over with only the money I get from a grant. I have a master's in psychology and have taken care of a husband with massive brain damage for the last 14 years. I now am finding myself for the first time in my life and after trying to get certified to be a therapist, getting a brain injury in an accident, I realized what I really wanted to do is bake cookies. Something I love and am good at doing. I always wanted to love my job and for the first time, I finally have the time and ability to do that: Bake cookies. This grant would absolutely change my life and be a huge blessing from God.

Self Identified Competition
Crumbl, Byrd's Famous Cookies, and Whimsey Cookie Company. All these companies are in Greenville which is an hour away from me. There is no competitor near my town. I will cater to smaller towns, with cheaper prices, and better quality. There is no one close to me doing this so I will be providing my little town with a business it does not have and a new stream of income. I will be the only one here which will make this business very special for my town.
