PSS Care Talk LLC 99-4311138 | Government Grant Application

PSS Care Talk LLC | Application Preview

PSS Care Talk LLC is seeking government grants primarily to cover payroll for their team, including Peer Support Specialists, a licensed Clinician, and the CEO. A significant portion of the funding will also go towards web hosting and necessary Google Cloud services to support their web-based Telehealth platform.

In their business plan, PSS Care Talk aims to steadily grow by hiring 10 additional Peer Support Specialists each month during the first year. By the start of the second year, they plan to onboard a second Supervisor and further increase hiring rates. Their expansion strategy includes reaching states that recognize Peer Support Specialists under Medicaid, with potential global Telehealth growth. Additionally, they intend to introduce group therapy chat services in the second year.

The application highlights the urgency of funding by emphasizing the need for services tailored to the underserved population of individuals living with mental health disabilities or addiction. PSS Care Talk fills a gap in telehealth support, particularly through flexible work opportunities for Peer Support Specialists, many of whom benefit from working remotely.

In terms of competition, PSS Care Talk identifies other platforms like Iprevail and Better Help. However, they assert a competitive edge due to their focus on Peer Support, the lack of payment for Peer Support Specialists at Iprevail, and Better Help's exclusion of Medicaid reimbursement for their services. This positions PSS Care Talk as a vital resource within the behavioral healthcare system, aiming to alleviate some of the existing burdens.

  • Funding Usage

We will use the majority of our funding for payroll, including our Peer Support Specialists, licensed Clinician, and CEO. Our other major expense is web hosting and other Google Cloud services, which are neccesary, because our Telehealth is web based.

  • Business Plan

During our first year, we will contract more Peer Support Specialists, planning on hiring 10 more each month. At the start of year 2 we will add a second Supervisor to our staff, and increase our rate of hiring Peer Support Specialists. We will expand from California, to include all states that include Peer Support Specialists on their Medicaid. We will look into global Telehealth expansion. During the second year, we will add the service, group therapy chat. The minority group, people living with a mental health disability or addiction are an underserved community, and PSS Care Talk's service is limited in availability. While Peer Support Specialists have become a part of our health care system, there isn't a lot of this type of support coming from telehealth. In addition, providing flexible work that can be done from home, for Peer Support Specialists, many of whom need this kind of work, provides a benefit. PSS Care Talk will alleviate the burden of work in our behavioral healthcare system.

  • Self Identified Competition

https://heypeers.com/become_peer_supporter https://www.iprevail.com Better Help Iprevail only serves L.A., and does not pay its Peer Support Specialists. Better Help is great for therapy, but does not provide Peer Support, and while PSS Care Talk will be free with Medicaid, Better Help does not insure Medicaid.
