  • Funding Usage

I have an Acupuncturist I want to bring on from out of town. I want to create good relocation packages for bringing up Acupuncturists to serve our community here in Fairbanks Alaska. I want to create entry level positions for Acupuncturists. A lot of Acupuncturists never find a way to practice upon graduation bc there are so few entry level positions. I want to create a strong bridge to Acupuncture schools and provide opportunities for young Acupuncturists to get some experience and mentorship to bridge the gap between school and real world practice. I want a relocation package that provides transport, housing, marketing and a stable salary for their first 6 months up in Fairbanks. It is a huge risk to move to somewhere so remote and so far- I want my business model to be able to shoulder some of the financial risk at the start of that journey. Fairbanks needs more health care providers, and having more Acupuncturists in town will be a huge benefit for all of us up here. This funding will purchase a reliable vehicle, pay 6 months of rent, help the business provide a reasonable salary for 6 months and help fund marketing support.

  • Business Plan

I plan to create a bridge to Acupuncture schools in the lower 48 and abroad with the intention of offering new graduates a career opportunity. I plan to create layers of mentorship in my clinic- so that seasoned practitioners are engaged and valued, and new practitioners are surrounded by support and encouragement and growth opportunities. I have a business model that is set up to serve others. We are serving the Fairbanks community by offering our healing and our knowledge and our hearts. We are serving the Acupuncture community by providing an entry level position so that more of us get the opportunity to practice and refine our skill. We are serving healthcare in general by supporting the growth of the Acupuncture community and the wellbeing of the Fairbanks Alaska community. We are serving education by creating tiers of mentorship and support so that our providers are constantly learning, constantly engaged and taken care of well. So that we can take care of our community well.

  • Self Identified Competition

O gosh, I dont really have competition. There is such a demand for health care- I have found nothing but support from other Acupuncturists and health care providers in town. We are all eachothers biggest fans from what I have felt and experienced. The only thing that sets my clinic apart from others in the area is my desire to create a bridge to the lower 48 in an effort to create an entry level position for Acupuncturists. All of us up in Fairbanks are serving our community well. But my clinic has found a way to serve both the community of Fairbanks and the growing community of Acupuncturists. God willing.
