Batter Up 99-4847884 | Government Grant Application

Batter Up | Application Preview

Batter Up is seeking government grants to support their business venture focused on selling mini donuts. The funds will be allocated for purchasing a trailer, specialized machines for making donuts, and necessary supplies like oil and batter. Additionally, there are plans to wrap the trailer in a bright, eye-catching design.

The business aims to expand over the next five years by introducing new products, such as mini donuts in cases and beverages.

The applicant expresses a strong desire to transition into entrepreneurship as they approach retirement age, motivated by a passion for the business and a desire to secure a stable future for their family. They have extensive experience as a truck driver and have witnessed the dangers of the job, prompting a shift towards a safer and more fulfilling career.

While the market includes other mini donut trucks and mobile vendors, Batter Up's unique position emphasizes personal fulfillment over profit. The applicant's goal is to maintain their role as a provider while spending more time with family as they navigate the challenges of retirement.

I would like to use the funds to purchase the trailer, the lil orbits machines and the oil and batter. I also would like to wrap the trailer so it is colorful and stands out.

  • Business Plan

Over the next 5 yrs, I would add more items like cases of mini donuts, drinks, etc. I have worked all of my life. Now that retirement age is creeping up on me, I wouldvlike to focus on my future and my dreams. I am currently a truck driver and have seen too many deaths on the roads. I don't want that to be me. I feel I have earned the right to start a business that I am passionate about.

  • Self Identified Competition

Other mini donut trucks. Any other mobile vendors and vendors with more options. I'm not doing this to be rich. I'm doing this to be with my family and still provide like I have done for the last 50 years. It is scary thinking about retirement. I have always been the bread winner I still want to be a provider for my family.
