The funds will be used to send our therapists to seminars and trainings to get certified in modalities that will best service our community. The funds will also be used to expand our offices to be able to secure the necessary number of clinicians to adequately service our clientele. We will also use the funds to implement the high-tech communication software need to offer safe and secure, HIPAA compliant, telehealth services to our clients who are unable to get the treatment needed in person.

  • Business Plan

The same way I grew the last behavioral health agency I was the office manager of. But this time, since I am an owner, I will have more control. I will hire ethical and professional therapists and Psychosocial Rehabilitation workers who will work as contractors. This will solve any financial shortfalls with payroll because they only get paid when the insurance companies pay. I have already submitted paperwork to the Department of Juvenile Justice to become a referral source for the state. I already contacted over 30 Clark County School District Schools and let them know that I opened in their area and ready to receive referrals for adolescents and their families who need help. I already informed my contacts at the local behavioral health hospitals of my new location. In the 5 years I was with my previous employer, utilizing these strategies, grew the agency to over 250 clients in 5 years. My plan will go a couple of steps more. Marketing. I would like to do more marketing than just business cards and brochures. If financially feasible, I would like to market on local radio and television. This funding would help immensely toward that end. I plan to open multiple offices at different key locations as I grow. Opening a location where the population we service is, will not only help our clients, but also improve our chances to grow. In five years, my plan is to have at least 3 locations. Each location has the potential to represent at least 200 clients. I have been an office manager for two behavioral health services companies since 2011. I have worked with the Medicaid and Medicare population since 2011. My expertise in managing, billing, credentialing, and growing behavioral health services agencies is second to none. The second behavioral health services agency I was a part of, started with myself, one therapist, one PSR worker, and around 25 clients. That was in 2016. Since then, while the therapist and PSR worker were seeing clients, we grew the agency to, at the time of this application, 12 therapists, 7 PSR workers, and over 250 clients. I, now, am in the position to open my own behavioral health services agency. Right now, I have 4 therapists and one PSR worker, with 5 clients. With the experience of the last 11 years, I have no doubt that I can grow this agency into a premier therapeutic organization.

  • Self Identified Competition

My #1 competitor would be the agency I left to start my own. Therapeutic Solutions. The reason they would be #1 is because I built it. They offer the same services we do. They accept the same insurances we do. They hired the same high-quality contractors that we will. As a matter of fact, 2 of their therapists who I hired are now my Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor. The one thing they do not have that we do.... is me. Without me, I believe they are not as strong as we are going to be. They now are going to have to outsource everything I can do. #2. Serenity Behavioral Health They are a bigger agency than the one I left. They offer therapy, PSR and medication management like I do. They are a competitor, but not really. They are far enough away from where my office is that we can be a referral source for each other if clients happen to be closer to one or the other. #3 Hope Counseling They offer therapy and PSR only. I have had many therapists in the past transfer from Hope Counseling to work with the agency I worked at. Based on reputation, I don't consider them a competitor. I believe the way I do business and how I want my providers to treat our clients do not mirror their practices. When it comes to behavioral health agencies in Nevada who take Medicaid and Medicare, there are not too many differences that can be quantified due to strict state regulations. When it comes to ethics, professionalism, and genuine care for the client; my agency is second to none. I am new. I see the pros and cons to that. If you start off new but at the same time have 10 years of experience, is it really "new"? My clinical director and clinical supervisor have combined experience as therapists of over 22 years. We know what we are doing. We know what we are doing. It has been 10 years of my dreaming of owning my own agency instead of building them for someone else, that has led me here. My hunger to be successful, however veracious it is, does not outweigh my responsibility to be ethical, fair, and caring to my providers and clients. I have seen practices and procedures that have been done at other agencies where credentialing has been lost. I will not let that happen. What makes me different? We offer individual, group, and family therapy. We offer PSR and BST services. We offer medication management. We accept all Nevada Medicaid insurances. There are very few agencies in Las Vegas who offer ALL of this in one agency. There are no bad habits to overcome. I am starting off with the right people, an ethical and moral approach to serve my community, and an overwhelming excitement of what an exceptional behavioral health services agency we can become.
