Business Plan
I plan to invest in better quality birds, improve their shelter, supplies and the land to better accommodate the birds quality of life. I have inquired about becoming NPIP Certified and plan to schedule our test visit. I will use farmers markets, social media, and other community events to advertise my product. I will also solicit to my local small home town cafe's to inquire about the possibility of them buying my eggs. I'm 54 years old i have been married 35 years this year. I have had the luxury of taken care of many family members who have struggled finically, medically or mentally over the years. My husband and I have not done a good job at taking care of each other as we have always taken care of everyone else. We have decided 3 1/2 years ago to move to TN from NV which was the best move we ever made. However our health has since declined. I have been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer (not fatal) and going to through all the drama that goes along with it. I'm on the mend at this point in my life. I have found my love in these chickens. I adore the simplicity and the unconditional companionship with them. My husband does everything he can to make me happy with all the coop building, however we need help. I really enjoy going to the farmers market and meeting so many new people, it's so rewarding to see people smile when they see all the different color eggs my chickens produce. This has become a real passion for me. I grow a small garden of herbs for them and dry some for their feed also. While I can't say "organic" they free range and eat very well.
