SUPERIOR AUTO BROKERS SUPERIOR AUTO BROKERS | Government Grant Application

SUPERIOR AUTO BROKERS | Application Preview

SUPERIOR AUTO BROKERS is seeking government grants to revitalize their business after facing significant challenges due to Covid-19. Their auto sales revenue, which previously ranged between 780,000 and 905,000 from 2014 to 2018, has plummeted to between 200,000 and 265,000 recently. To recover, the company plans to enhance their sales and service capabilities by hiring 4-5 technicians, investing in inventory and advertising, and upgrading shop equipment. They also intend to pay off existing debt of 12,000.

The proposed business strategy includes extensive, targeted advertising campaigns similar to those used during their peak years of 2015-2018. The team is confident that these efforts will help them return to previous revenue levels, moving away from reliance on low-cost advertising methods.

Located in a rural area 45 minutes east of Austin, SUPERIOR AUTO BROKERS faces competition primarily from Covert Chevrolet/Cadillac and other used car dealers in the region. Their competitive advantage lies in focusing on a niche market for specific vehicles, namely Toyota, Lexus, and Honda models from 2000-2012, priced between 4,000 and 10,000. By selling these cars for cash without financing, they offer lower prices compared to local dealerships that charge high interest rates. This strategy positions them favorably within their market.

  • Business Plan

We plan on ramping up sales and service by adding 4-5 technicians, investing in our inventory and ad campaigns. Addition upgrades to shop equipment is also scheduled. Current debt of 12,000 will also be paid off. We plan on extensive and targeted ad campaigns similar to our strategy implementation in our record sales years 2015-2018. We are confident we will realize these numbers again and not rely on traditional free or inexpensive advertising.

  • Self Identified Competition

We are in very rural area located 45 minutes east of Austin. Our market is Austin proper and surrounding areas. The closest dealership is Covert Chevrolet/Cadillac located 12 miles away. All other used car dealers east of their location would be considered competition. We have a very targeted market focused on Toyota, Lexus and the occasional Honda. These are usually cars and trucks from 2000-2012 and between $4-10,000. These are all cash sales as we do not finance. Every dealer in Austin functions as a bank, charging exhorbinate interest rates. In contrast, we offer great vehicles with lower prices.
