Miranda Daniele | Application Preview
Miranda Daniele is applying for government grants to alleviate financial burdens stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. She is still paying off expenses incurred during this time, having relied on credit cards and a loan from the SBA. Her goal is to use the funding to pay off debts, purchase a washer/dryer for her shop, and replace essential tools that have been worn out due to increased demands.
Miranda has been in the health and beauty industry for 23 years and wishes to maintain her business for at least another five years. As a booth renter, she hopes to expand her offerings, which have been limited by rising costs.
In her funding request, she emphasizes her strong work ethic and dedication to her community, providing health and beauty services, especially to seniors and those recovering from illness. She is the sole provider for her household and is eager to grow her business to ensure its longevity and potentially retire one day.
Miranda faces significant competition within a 15-mile range, with at least 18 other local providers. Her competitive advantage lies in her personalized approach to customer service, characterized by listening, compassion, and empathy, qualities that have resonated well with her clients.

Funding Usage
Would love to offset or dissolve the expenses incured during covid, still paying off those bills. Was kept afloat via credit cards and an unfortunate loan by sba. Was supposed to be a emergency grant, but that's not what was written up. Add a washer/dryer set to the shop so I can stop killing the set at home. Replaced twice during covid. Replace some implements that are needed weekly. Basically pay off the debt occurred during the pandemic so I can continue to operate.

Business Plan
I would love to still be in operation in 5 years. I have not stayed in business in my small area for 23 years to lose it now due to the increasing bills. I am a booth renter, to go on my own would be awesome, but it would be nice to just offer up all that I offer. Things have been cut back due to expenses. I am a hard worker. I would have a second job if I could physically do it. But this is what I do. I provide health and beauty services to my local community and have for 23 years. Would hate to leave. I help the local senior center ladies, gentilmen and the families of my area. I occasionally go out and help those who cannot come to the shop. My favorite is the help those recovering from cancer treatments get their beauty and self esteem back. I am a sole earner of a hose of two. I have cleared the hump of dealing with kids/ step kids. It's time for me to add to my business and maybe some day be able to retire. A long time from now :) It's hard to stay on top in this industry but longevity helps :)

Self Identified Competition
Local competition is all over. Have atleast 18 within a 15 mile radius. Some are salons others work out of their homes. It is hard to keep yourself on top of the list, longevity helps. I try to listen, give an ear to chew off and well just politeness, compassion and empathy to all who sit in my chair. I'm told I'm super sweet too :)
