If awarded this grant, I would strategically invest the $7,200 to enhance both the operational and service sides of Scallops Design Studio. My first priority would be hiring a web developer to assist in creating a professional website for myself, which will not only streamline my client interactions but also serve as a powerful marketing tool to attract more business. Additionally, I plan to work with a business coach to refine my strategy and planning, ensuring that my business is poised for long-term success. To further expand my reach, I would bring on a social media manager to improve my online presence and grow my audience, allowing me to connect with more small business owners who need affordable branding services. Lastly, I plan to allocate any remaining funds toward upgrading necessary hardware, such as my computer and other essential equipment, to support the increasing volume of work. By investing in these areas, I plan increase my capacity, grow my business, and continue offering affordable services without compromising quality.

Business Plan
With the addition of a website I plan to expand my business visibility beyond instagram allowing for a larger intake of clients and new projects. I also plan, with the help of a social media manager, free up some of my time to allow for new projects such as downloadable content creation and other passive income streams. I plan to work closely with an experienced business coach and follow their advice to increase business revenue. I also plan to take courses on web and UI/UX development in order to expand my skills and offerings. As the owner of Scallops Design Studio, I have had the privilege of working with and designing graphics for an incredible community of freelancers, working mothers, and small business owners. These individuals often cannot afford to spend thousands of their hard-earned dollars on professional graphic designs, logos, or branding. I deeply relate to this community as I am also a working mother. For the past few years, I've risen in the early hours to complete my design work before dedicating my days to my children. My mission is to provide high-quality, affordable design services to deserving small businesses, while ensuring I can also provide for my family. While I could earn significantly more by working for a larger corporation, the businesswomen and individuals I serve are close to my heart. I believe that investing in Scallops Design Studio you are investing in the ever-growing small business community in America. Through my work, I've witnessed clients grow their "side hustles" into formal LLCs, thanks to the branding a design support I have provided them. This grant of $7,200 would allow me to expand my services, reach a broader audience, and increase my ability to provide financially for my family without raising the price of my services. In turn, more small business will be able to afford professional graphic design services without the financial burden of working with larger agencies that are geared more towards corporations with larger budgets. This investment will not only benefit my business, but also the hardworking entrepreneurs I serve.

Unlike other "we do it all" type agencies, I specialize in working with small, instagram based, business owners. particularly those in creative industries such as balloon artists, party planners, event rental companies, etc. By honing in on this specific niche, I understand the unique branding needs and creative energy of these particular clients, allowing me to create designs that truly capture their spirit and elevate their businesses. Also, as mentioned in my previous statement, I strive to keep my pricing affordable allowing professional design accessibility to clients who otherwise might not be able to afford it. I've built Scallops Design Studio on the belief that beautiful, professional design shouldn't be reserved solely for big corporations with large budgets. My clients are hardworking individuals balancing these growing companies, their families, and often other full time employment. I offer pricing the reflects the reality of their finances without sacrificing quality. In addition to these points, I know my personality and quality customer service set me apart from other freelance designers. My individual flair is integral to the designs I create. I'm often told by potential clients that my unique and playful designs helped to capture their attention and eventually brought them to inquire about working with me. My past clients also agree that I am an incredibly pleasant person to work with.
