ECGMadeEasy LLC | Application Preview
ECGMadeEasy LLC is seeking government grants to enhance its operations and marketing efforts aimed at educating nurses about abnormal heart rhythms. The funding will be allocated toward various services, including marketing to promote their courses, videography for social media platforms, compliance service fees, subscription costs for online presentations, and necessary equipment upgrades.
The business plan involves expanding outreach to nursing schools, hospitals, and nursing agencies to prepare nurses for roles where ECG knowledge is essential. By targeting these institutions, ECGMadeEasy aims to address a significant gap in nursing education.
The applicant emphasizes the importance of this training, highlighting their experience as a nurse educator and the effectiveness of live online classes for interactive learning and retention.
In terms of competition, ECGMadeEasy differentiates itself from existing platforms by offering a concise, one-time, four-hour class without recurring fees, in contrast to competitors that require subscriptions or focus on different audiences. The unique teaching approach developed during the pandemic, utilizing Zoom for real-time interaction, further sets their offering apart and enhances student satisfaction.

Business Plan
The business plan will expand to nursing schools to proactively reach students before graduation. The expansion includes hospitals and contract nurse agencies to prepare nurses for changing assignments and jobs where ECG knowledge is tested. Physicians' offices and outpatient clinics' nursing staff are also part of the plan. I have recognized a need for nurses to become more familiar with recognizing and interpreting abnormal heart rhythms. This in turn will help close a gap in nursing knowledge. As an experienced nurse educator, I can communicate the content effectively and succinctly, and with a live online class, I can answer questions and provide real-life examples to enhance learning and retention.

Self Identified Competition
1. ECGacademy.com Content spread out over several videos. Monthly or annual subscription is required to access videos; my class is a one-time, 4 hour class with one fee; no recurring payments. 2. futurelearn.com The nursing track does not offer ECG class 3. Medmastery.com The primary audience for the Medmastery ECG content is nurse practitioners, and physicians, not nurses. During COVID, I developed skills in teaching through Zoom. Teaching in real time allows me to interact with the class participants, answer questions in- depth, and provide participants with a higher level of class satisfaction. Also, when I teach the live ECG class at GW Hospital, I also simultaneously Zoom the class with a sister hospital in Texas.
