Sally Beauty, as a well-known national chain, has significant brand recognition but often tailors its product selection to a non-Black audience, leaving gaps in options for textured and curly hair types. This focus presents an opportunity for my store to cater more inclusively, providing options for customers with diverse hair needs. Walmart, while offering some beauty products, has a limited selection, often lacks specialty items, and sells at a higher price point for quality brands. This limitation prevents Walmart from meeting the needs of customers looking for affordable, specialized hair care products, particularly for Black hair. By focusing on affordability, a diverse product selection for all hair types, and customer service rooted in community care, my store stands out as a unique resource tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of our community. What sets us apart from our competitors is our genuine commitment to the community we serve. We prioritize affordable prices to ensure that our products remain accessible to everyone, unlike some of our competitors who have been criticized for high pricing. Our approach goes beyond transactions; we build relationships with our customers by engaging in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and preferences. This personalized approach allows us to recommend products that best suit them, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued. Additionally, we offer a broad variety of products for all hair types and make a consistent effort to stay current with trends, ensuring that our customers always have access to popular, high-demand items. This combination of affordability, personalized service, and a diverse, trend-focused selection makes us a trusted and unique resource for our community.
