GPC | Application Preview
GPC is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations and reach more customers. The plan is to purchase components in bulk at wholesale prices, which will lower shipping costs and allow for higher profit margins. This approach aims to provide affordable, custom-built PCs to families who cannot afford mainstream options, particularly targeting parents looking for options for their children.
As a current business student, GPC needs startup capital to increase production capacity and handle the growing demand from the local Philadelphia and South Jersey community. The business model is gaining traction through word of mouth, and there is potential for significant growth if sufficient funding is obtained.
GPC faces competition from big box retailers and other custom PC builders with greater financial resources. However, its competitive advantage lies in its unique customer interactions. GPC offers personalized service by delivering built PCs and providing complimentary software installation and training. This hands-on approach not only educates customers but also sparks interest in technology among young users, fostering a community of tech-savvy individuals. Funding support will enable GPC to capitalize on this momentum and expand its operations.

Funding Usage
Will use the capital to buy components at a less expensive wholesale price in bulk to yield a bigger return. This will also reduce my shipping fees. I can then sell to a demographic that can pay less to get a product they would never be able to afford otherwise.

Business Plan
I need the start up capital, as I am a current business student. The injection of capital would allow me to do multiple builds at a time increasing my productivity. My market is people who cannot afford the nicer PCs for their children and I can offer a better, more capable product for half the cost of the off-the-shelf equivalent. My market is in the Philadelphia/South Jersey market that is spreading through word of mouth. I have one other "helper" that I am teaching to do this to hopefully get this off the ground. I have parents coming to me now for Christmas and want to do something for their kids. I do not have the funding to front all of the requests that I am getting. I can grow this into something bigger with the right support.

Self Identified Competition
Big box stores. Other custom PC builders with deeper pockets. I started this journey during COVID to earn money to help pay for college. It has grown slowly and now I have a strong following from previous customers. It give kids like me access to solid hardware that can get them interested in things other than surfing the internet or gaming. When I deliver the product, I install it with them and do a free software install with some basic training. All of them become interested in the inner working (inside the box) and it piques their technical curiosity. This is my edge. I create one interested customer at a time and they will most likely become more technical, creating their own network of young, successful teens/young adults.
