Funding Usage
I am entering a new state, I was unlawfully terminated and I need to re-open my practice and I am trying to still recover from COVID19 and the fall out of having service connected disabilities that forced me to shelter in place. Over 2020 I slowly watched my practice I made from scratch, "burn down slowly," I lost all my staff, my location, and am the only working adult. We went from extremely stable, hiring and helping the community and training new psychology students, hiring new psychologists to train, to me and telehealth. I did this for as long as I could, but 7 full time jobs by myself as the doctor, it was hurting patients by me being unable to keep up with referrals, billing, reports. This funding will return me not only to where I left off, doing amazing in 2019 and early 2020. I have three fellowships and all three are in high in need. This funding I could purchase a building and hire staff immediately, I can purchase the electronics (computers) needed (I was robbed of my electronics in 2022), and I could again create a training program for students as we do not have enough people training in general psychology let alone a clinical forensic neuropsychologist.

Business Plan
Given the countries behavioral medicine needs, the best way is to advertise, network, train, and to create programs that work in conjunction with universities to create student practicums and to offer free training to primary care offices, neurologists, and lawyers, as well as Veteran's groups locally. As I hire more providers, which many are looking for work right now, the income of the group with increase and services and training that can we can also attempt to give back once we reach stability to a hurting rural community, building crisis response teams, multiple services, and including creating a family friendly environment with childcare on site for parents that need services but do not have day care. I was born very poor in San Francisco. I was raised in an inner city ghetto. I was able to leave this poverty loop by finding scholarships, funding, and being willing to do this journey the longer harder way. That meant 5 community colleges, transfering to my 4 year school, graduating with honors and the president and vice president of Psi Chi. I got into my graduate program after continuing to keep working front line staff and was a recipient of the HPSP scholarship program for bringing medical professionals into the US Army, where I got my first APA selection, very rare, with Eisenhower Army Medical Center. I was injured and went to work for a VAMC and built multiple programs within 3 years, more than what our lead had done in 11. I left there after an EEO, they stopped providing my reasonable accommodations. I settled and I had enough to open a private practice. I have been working as hard as possible, and from 2016 I made 38K and by 2019 I make 205k on just my license. I have helped hundreds of people, including veterans, active duty, and national guard. I have worked on all sides of the mental health services between front line staff, then military, then VA, then private. I also am looking for ways to help Veterans and Battered Women to get free (grant funded) forensic services, they are are very expensive and our Veterans and battered women are the groups that need these services the most and it could change their lives. I am dedicated, tenacious, and i'm building the empire of hope, one day wanting to create even a research lab. I am in a rural area, one that has a large number of Veterans, and I am available while people keep saying there are not enough mental health providers. I am here, I am able to do this, because I have done it before. I was taken advantage of by a position that moved me from my state before I had seed money for moving the practice, as my position I was supposed to have, was for 180K a year, and that is no longer possible. My family is destitute, we have no money. I could be working, putting back into the economy, taking care of my family, which includes myself and my fiance who are service connected Veterans. I am less than 1% of my population and I am more than capable of building an amazing group/practice that hopes to work interdisciplinary with primary care, specialty clinics, and attorneys.

Self Identified Competition
As there is no one here trained like me, I do not have the same competitors, the location I would like to put the business will be an area that is a mental health desert and desperately needs these services. In South Carolina, I did not need to advertise, people were able to find me online easily due to my services are unique. I am uniquely trained. While it is possible, I have never met another professional like me. I have three fellowships, military psy ops/operational psychology, forensic, and neuropsychology. Not only that, my integrity and morality match my military service oath. I help those who need help, I do not discriminate and I make sure I use my power/authority highly responsibly, understanding that the patient care IS the only thing that truly matters, while yes, we cannot have patient care without funding, we will never tell people 'no,' if we can help, if we cannot, we will help them find what they need. I am not "competitive," and like to work with my peers, so that we can help more people, there are not enough mental health providers to afford to be competitive, to help the masses that will be coming, as we have not reached our true mental health crisis yet? We will need each other.
