Walie's Play Clothes | Application Preview

Funding Usage
1. Upon receiving the certifications for Copyright and Patent, I will contact CUSTOM PLUSH.COM for the production of the Walie doll and two separate dresses for the doll. At this point, the fabrics they may have will be used for production. Walia will be a 10" doll. An estimate will be requested for this project, as well as an estimate for a pocket-size Walie doll. The latter doll will be used in the sale of the children's clothing line with a matching America fabric of our design. 2. I will submit the manuscript for WALIE'S PLAY CLOTHES CLOSET to Trilogy for review. An estimate will be requested. My expectation is that Walie, the doll, and the book, will be available at the same time for on-line sales. 3. A portable building will be purchased as headquarters for Walie's Play Clothes. The building will have a restroom for personnel convenience. 4. An electrician will be hired to wire the building for business. 5. A computer and printer will be purchased. 6. A phone system will be installed. 7. A tech will be hired to set up a computer system in the building. 6. A software tech will be hired to set up a selling and account software and a website. 7. I will contact LEFTY PRODUCTION CO for an estimate for pattern making for girls sizes 3 - 8. If they do not manufacture fabric, then the manufacturing of clothing will be made with the fabric I make and copyright. 8. I will contact LITTLE COCALICO for and estimate on wholesale custom fabric production. this fabric will be used for the Walie's Play Clothes clothing line. Two separate fabric designs will be submitted for production. 9. A marketing consultant will be hired to present advertising avenues. Estimates will be considered.

Business Plan
In the next five years, I plan to expand the clothing line to include boys of the same age with a Walie doll counterpart. Walie's Play Clothes will aim at teaching children how to dress themselves and to make choices on appropriate apparel. Ultimately, a store will follow as an additional vehicle to sell, other than on-line sales. The plan is to hire women to serve as online salespeople as well as store clerks. Seamstresses will be hired on the demand and growth of the business. The edge I will have over competitors will be "Walie," the doll. She will have interchangeable clothes to match the outfits. Walie books will be part of the business. This is another area where we will have an advantage over other children's clothing stores. Awarding a grant to Walie's Play Clothes will be used to hire people which will help the economy. The government will benefit from the taxes of a growing children's clothing line. The goal of Walie's Play Clothes is to grow, not only nationally, but internationally. The United States is an influence throughout the world. Children around the world want to dress like American children, not to mention that all children love dolls! Walie's Play Clothes will not be made of mass-produced fabrics made in China or India. Walie's Play Clothes will have it's own copyrighted fabric: fabrics made with Walie's image in an Americana vogue. Children will, not only want a Walie, but to dress like Walie. Walie will be an American product.

Self Identified Competition
Since Walie's Play Clothes is in the making, there are no competitors at this time. I don't expect there will be, due to the uniqueness of Walie, herself, and the fabrics I plan to design. While there are basic clothing patterns, Walie's Play Clothes will be unique to our fabrics and the inclusion of a miniature Walie to insert in pockets. Walie, the doll; books about Walie, and children's clothing from my own fabric design made in the USA will make Walie's Play Clothes unique, different and also comfortable. I plan to use cotton or cotton-compatible fabrics that will not irritate a child's skin.
