Funding Usage
With this funding, Happy Hearts would purchase new equipment, decorations, and furniture. This will create a warm, inviting, and stimulating environment for the children ($4,000). We would also purchase new computer equipment and a copy machine ($3,000). To ensure the safety of our students, we would also use $5,000 to purchase a security system. In addition to these funds, we are also asking for funds to build a playground system which encourages the children to get out and play, exercise, and explore. This endeavor requires $5,000. Additionally, to enhance the children's education, we are asking for $2,000 to purchase quality curriculum and books for the children and $2,000 to purchase VR headsets designed specifically for preschool learning. Finally, we are asking for $17,680 to hire a paraeducator to help ensure the children in our care receive the highest quality of care.

Over the next five years, Happy Hearts aims to expand our services to reach more children in our area. As we work towards a high quality early education program, we will grow in our ability to introduce low-income and under-served children in our community to the engaging world of science, technology, literature, music, and art. The community in which we service lacks quality early childhood education opportunities. Of the programs registered in our state's STARS to Qualify program of excellence, 72% fail to reach a rating over 3 out of 7 stars. This exposes a great lack of excellence in the daycare community which serves our children. Happy Hearts aims to change those statistics. Our program focuses on providing cutting edge educational opportunities to children from low income and under-served families. This includes incorporating hands-on learning, experimentation, and self-expression. It does not; however, limit the ways in which these goals are achieved. With your help, Happy Hearts will purchase VR learning equipment created specifically for preschool learning opportunities. We will also provide a wide range of books to inspire young minds and creative art supplies to encourage self-expression and foster a love of the arts. Children's potential truly is limited only by the society surrounding them. Happy Hearts, and by extension all those who generously invest in our program, will shatter the glass ceiling of expectations of our young people.

Self Identified Competition
Our main competitor is Munchkin Land. This is the only daycare to receive a 5 out of 7 star rating in our community (none rated higher). Unfortunately, Munchkin Land is located, not in Billings but, in the community of Lockwood. This means that our greatest competitor does not serve the children in our immediate community. Quality is the difference between Happy Hearts Daycare and the other daycare centers in our community. Our philosophy marries play and education to promote a love of learning in the youngest of minds.
