Funding Usage
Grant funding will allow my business to invest in further marketing and outreach to connect with local business clients. It is important for me to continue to keep up with software and platform training particularly in the ecommerce and social media spaces where I provide digital support to businesses. This additional funding will help alleviate the stresses of cash flow with a startup business.

Business Plan
I currently have a strong foundation of corporate clients from my previous work experience that I have built my business on over the past 5 months. I would like to expand my network and service local businesses that are in need of ongoing support but have limited resources or technical knowledge specific to design and marketing and can't afford to hire an agency. My goal over the next 5 years would be to expand beyond myself and be able to hire additional freelance designers to support client growth. I am currently involved with the local SBA and CWE and plan to grow my involvement, particularly with the women entrepreneurs. I have over 20 years of industry experience and a great deal of technical knowledge and process efficiencies that I would love to use, to help small to medium size businesses in my community thrive. My business approach is based on industry research, individualized strategy and technically sound output that is focused on achieving measurable results for my clients. I am diligent, hard working and compassionate, which are the moral standards I base my business on.

Self Identified Competition
Online design services that use cheap overseas labor and don't provide customized services or consistent outcomes. Overpriced marketing agencies that don't focus on understanding businesses individual needs or provide affordable solutions. Well intentioned friends/students who can provide temporary solutions, but lack professional structure and expertise to help drive businesses forward. Regardless of budget size I approach all of my clients with the same level of respect, approachability and investment in our professional relationship. I have expertise in both print and digital software and platforms which is not particularly common. Because of this I hope to provide ongoing and cohesive services to businesses so they can spend less time shopping around for individual services.
