Marketing (word of mouth, radio ads, help from other non-profit organizations.) We have a very specific and unique approach to what we want to offer so that will generate buzz once we get started. we also want to expand from swim lessons and water safety, to a fully functional community center. We want to start providing at-risk youth and low income families the opportunity to receive help in areas such: Nutritional health, College application financial help for high school seniors, low cost child care, water safety education, and aquaphobia focused swim lessons. this is just a small list of what is possible if we had the funding to help people in need. Do not invest in me, invest in the kids. What this organization will ultimately strive to do will help the community by changing the path of our at risk youth. my wife, Shorell Harrison, has an extensive background in behavioral health and working with at risk youth. She was also a teacher at a school that only taught children that fell onto the Asperger's/autism spectrum. Her experience is invaluable to this organization and makes the possibilities of what we can do for our community endless. I grew up in a low income/poor neighborhood. I knew what it was like to want to do so many things in life and have to struggle for every penny you had. I graduated from a predominately black school and I saw how underserved our community was and still is. I knew what it was like to want to apply to 3 or 4 colleges but you only had enough money to send one, and then get rejected and feel like not matter how hard you try things will never get better. This type of struggle can break people, I've seen it first hand I commend those around that try to make a difference, but it takes a village. One organization cannot change the paths of all of our troubled youth alone. We want to end those feeling of helplessness and despair. please help us do that.

The Salvation Army and The YMCA are the main two. The other little centers around town do not compare to these two. They have huge nice buildings, great equipment, different sports programs, fitness classes, big pools, event rooms. They are nice and I definitely applaud them for providing all of the programs that they do have. But for one, they are mainly sports-based and two, they are not looking at it from our point of view. We have been where those we try to help are. We are African-American, lesbian women in America, with parents that have addictions, I had my only sister pass away at a young age from cancer, we both had childhood traumas both sexual and non-sexual, we have dealt with depression first hand, and know how much therapy can change your life. I grew up poor with no new clothes, no car, no money, no options. Shorell too knows the struggle having 6 brothers and a one income household. We can relate, we can help. Our adversity has taught us many lessons along the way. We can change lives by passing this information on.
