Funding Usage
I would use the funds to lease the store (potential locations already found). Hire quality staff. Pay for laser lipo and wood therapy certification for my staff. Get my first seasons worth of products for Fall/Winter 2021 & Spring 2022. Decor and build out for the boutique. Hire bloggers to test beta site. Soft opening. Marketing. Grand opening. I would be honored to be awarded with grant funding, It would truly change my life. I have already registered my business, trademarked my logo, and hired a commercial agent to scout locations. This helps move on to my next steps with confidence!

Problem We all know the Fashion industry and the Beauty industry are billion dollar industries. The average woman spends between 4K-20k annually on clothing and beauty treatments. Now the average woman, ESPECIALLY mother’s, struggle with sacrificing self-care appointments and end up losing a percentage of those costs because their time is split. With our online store as well as brick and mortar, we are well situated to serve two core groups: Women 25-44 & Mothers 25-44. Women make up more than half of the U.S. population, and control or influencer 85% of consumer spending. The purchasing power of women in the U.S. ranges from $5 trillion to $15 trillion annually. (Source: Nielsen Consumer, 2013) Women control more than 60% of all personal wealth in the U.S. 92% of women pass along information about deals or online recommendations to others. As owner/founder I consider myself one two punch of style, motherhood, and savvy . Every idea is based on my own struggles and obstacles I’ve had to overcome. Nothing has been handed me I’ve worked hard for everything I have. With Lush I have come up with a fresh concept, popular products, and an ambitious but achievable plan to build it into a thriving new business that will benefit women everywhere!
