Black Monopoly | Application Preview
Black Monopoly is seeking government grants to support their initiative to establish a Social Media Marketing Agency aimed at enhancing the online presence of local businesses. The funds will primarily be allocated for targeted advertising, studio equipment, and web development services.
The overarching goal is to not only drive foot traffic to local stores but also to invest part of the revenue into developing a recording studio. This studio will serve as the foundation for a Music Marketing Subdivision, which aims to grow a record label. Once operational, Black Monopoly plans to acquire additional property to expand their studio capabilities, scale their dropshipping business, and launch new online stores along with branded merchandise.
The application highlights the potential community impact, emphasizing the opportunities it will create for local youth, particularly those who have faced challenges due to systemic failures.
In terms of competition, while there are few local rivals such as Dojo Studios and Fyre Studios, Black Monopoly aims to differentiate itself from larger entities like Roc-a-fella and Young Money by focusing on modern, efficient marketing strategies via social media. This approach will leverage lower costs and targeted outreach to build compelling brands and engage specific audiences effectively.

Business Plan
Our plan is to create a Social Media Marketing Agency to help local businesses increase their online footprint and drive more foot traffic into their stores. Part of this revenue will be invested into a recording studio. With these measures in place we will create a Music Marketing Subdivision that can support and begin growing a record label. Once we have the initial studio up and running, we will buy a new property and increase our studio resources. We will also up scale our online dropshipping store, while launching new online stores as well as selling merchandise from the brand we build. The work we do will have an impact in our community by giving hope and opportunities to youth in our city who have been failed by the environments they grew up in and the systems that were meant to assist them.

Self Identified Competition
The advantage to this model is that, we have few local competitors. Our current local competition Dojo Studios, Fyre Studios, and Broken Crow Studio. Otherwise, we seek to compete with Octobers Very Own, Roc-a-fella, and Young Money. Our competitors are focused on more traditional means of advertising that can be costly and very inefficient. Our processes are going to be focused on leveraging the low cost and vast range of social media to create a story/brand and target our specific audiences with products we know they will resonate with. It's about building a formula for product promotion in an ever more digitalized aged.
