Angels of Destiney | Application Preview

Angels of Destiny is seeking government grants with a focused plan to address domestic violence issues, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic in Los Angeles. The funding will be utilized for various essential needs, including employee salaries, rental fees for a transitional home, furniture, food, utilities, home security, clothing for residents, and laptops for women and children engaging in distance learning.

The organization plans to partner with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to identify and refer women and children who can benefit from their services.

The application emphasizes that investing in Angels of Destiny can significantly reduce domestic violence rates by providing a safe alternative for women and children fleeing abusive situations. The competition is defined as anyone who does not oppose abuse, highlighting the organization's unique mission.

Angels of Destiny's competitive edge lies in its faith-based approach and the personal experience of its founder, who has overcome homelessness and domestic violence. This background fuels a genuine commitment to help others, supported by professional credentials in psychotherapy. The founder's passion for the cause distinguishes the organization from others in the field.

My competitors are anyone not against abuse. This includes abusers, enablers, and bigots. I am different from my competitors because I’ve been homeless and abused, but I also have the credentials to practice psychotherapy. My passion stems from pain. My passion is to prevent women and children from experiencing what I experienced, it’s personal.
