Jonah's School of Fish Daycare | Application Preview
Jonah's School of Fish Daycare is seeking government grant funding to purchase a van that can transport 12 to 16 passengers. This would enable the daycare to enroll more children, meeting a critical need for childcare in the community and allowing parents to return to work. The van would facilitate transportation to and from schools, as well as to educational events such as Discovery Centers and parks, enriching the children's learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The business aims to expand enrollment and provide diverse learning opportunities through community engagement. Jonah emphasizes the strong demand for spots in the daycare, backed by positive references from families. With the potential for increased enrollment, the center could also create additional jobs.
In terms of competition, there are three larger childcare centers in the area that already have transportation capabilities. However, Jonah's smaller, family-oriented facility appeals to families looking for a more personalized care environment. The competitive edge lies in the commitment to hands-on learning and fostering self-confidence in children through outdoor experiences. Overall, the funding would significantly enhance the daycare's ability to serve the community.

Funding Usage
If I could purchase a van for 12 to 16 passengers, I could not only enroll more children in my program. I must be able to transport more than 4 children in order to be a greater asset to my community. I could then offer to transport to and from school. My community is in great need for more childcare providers so that more parents can return to work. Many businesses have closed due to lack of help, some of that because of lack of available childcare providers. I would also use the van to transport the children to educational events such as Discovery Centers, Parks and Recreation events, art shows, Gardens, and the likes in order to teach them more about the outdoors and people and events in our community.

Business Plan
I would love to enroll more families in my care. And have the resources and equipment to teach them in all settings. Instead just a classroom, we could travel to local events to learn. I have wonderful families who would provide excellent references. I get so many calls hoping for a spot in my program for their child to be enrolled. I have compassion for teaching hands on and experiencing together the wonders of the community. I have the space to grow my enrollment, and could then provide jobs for employees to join my team.

Self Identified Competition
There are 3 other childcare centers in my city who have the vans to transport their children. More are needed. Those 3 childcare centers are large facilities. Some families would rather be in a small center where we have more of a family feeling. I live very close to many school and preschools and being able to transport the children to the schools would help the parents with their employment. Smaller center, more personal. My love for the outdoors and teaching the children with more hands on experiences for learning, and building self confidence.
