Funding Usage
We will use the funds to pay outstanding bills for 1800-accountant and Legal Zoom. We need to purchase laptops or tablets to use for meetings and online trainings. We would like to purchase various items with company logo (shirts, flyers, tablecloth, etc.) to bring awareness to the company. Also, we would like to develop online courses for professional development which results in additional costs.

Business Plan
In the next five years, we plan take our company outside of the state to become a well-known consultation service. We want to have the ability to fly across the nation to meet with other educational institutions and organizations to offer our services. We plan to use social media platforms to market the company and reach a larger audience. In addition, our online learning division would have expanded to include several courses that meet our customers' needs. Our company is a consulting firm that is owned by two African-American women with a wealth of experience in professional learning. One of the owners has her doctoral degree in organizational leadership with a focus on inclusive and equitable environments. The other owner is completing her dissertation research in new teacher induction and supports. Teacher retention is affecting every state in the nation. Her research will help enhance our work with schools and help them develop systems to provide teachers with support (district and campuses). We also offer professional development and consulting in team building, leadership development, online learning facilitation, and instructional coaching.

Our top three competitors are Lead Your School, Surge, and Two Chicks. They are well-known in the Houston area and have been established for several years. They offer team building and instructional coaching. Our business is different because we offer an array of professional learning opportunities (team building, leadership development, online learning facilitation, new teacher induction and supports, inclusive and equitable practices, and instructional coaching). We have presented at various conferences and have over 15 years of experience providing professional development. We love the content that we share and we have conducted research in various areas. The other companies are more experienced, but we are a fresh and new company with innovative ideas that is grounded in sound research.
