Funding Usage
With this funding, I can set up contracts with grocery suppliers, be able to buy more equipment for my kitchen, and honestly be able to breathe. I can host events to get more clientele, and really become a part of the community. My long term goal is to have a healthy bakery/deli.

Business Plan
In the next five years, if the funding is available, I dream of having a small bakery/deli where the menu changes daily and by the week. The bakery items would remain available at all times. I would also like to hire some talented bakers who also want to express themselves through baking. I would also like to have artwork from local artists on show in my space available for sale. In our community, I noticed an opportunity that is missing. We have great restaurants, but they have been the same since they opened. I also don't see much creativity within their menu. I want to create an atmosphere and a menu people look forward to. I would love to be about to have the funds to also get fully set up for catering events. I have been asked by so many, but have been unable due to my limited resources, which in turn harms my business. I went to school for business, and I have a passion for baking/cooking. I know if I could solely focus on this dream without the constant monetary stress, it would be successful.

Self Identified Competition
I'd say I have a top 2 1.) Bernie's - developed by Molly Yeh who was discovered through her blogs. She married a farmer from Minnesota, and was picked up by the food network. She specializes in Nordic style food, but right now only has a lunch menu. I've heard mixed reviews, but one thing I notice is that the size of her restaurant surpasses her need. 2.) Grazing Queens Started recently by a pageant girl who won Mrs. North Dakota. She specializes in teaching charcuterie classes, but I don't think she has the license to actually provide boards. I am North Dakota born and raised, and I love my community. I go them to see what they want and I listen. I started my business in my own, but because of some other platform. (Blog, pageant) I want to make a make for myself through my business, not because of who I was before. I don't post many pictures with my face, my goal is to let my food and talents speak for themselves, and they have been!
