Business Plan
My plan is to finish the remodel of the larger area and start growing my inventory. Expand my social media following (learn how to run social media) and get out into my local community more. My plan is to work to double my sales every year for the next 5 years to reach a certain goal. I plan to start taking classes provided by my local community to help better my knowledge and understanding of how to run my business so I can continue to grow. Being a online Boutique is a great start but my goal is to keep pushing forward and be able to open a small store front in my community as well as run the online portion in the back storage area as a warehouse. I wish I knew what to say when asked why someone should invest in me or my business but the truth is I just don’t. I know this probably isn’t the best thing to say but I have always been told to be honest so that’s what I’m going to do. I had been a stay at home mom for three years when I started to dream of one day owning my own business. Within a year I had planned, named and opened my boutique The Country Chicken Boutique as an online store. Unfortunately life has a funny way of not only giving us what we want but also putting many obstacles in our way. Shortly before opening our lives changed for the better but it also made it where we needed to be a two income household. So for the first year of business I worked a full time job while also trying to launch and grow my business. After a year I decide to go full time on my boutique and started to branch out to the community more. Keeping the online store but making myself known. Now here we are going on our third year in business and we have hit a hurdle of needing more room for all the inventory. I have a big storage area in my house that we plan to use but unfortunately it needs a lot of work before we can comfortably move the inventory down to it and right now it’s just not feasible. I have never been one to ask for help and have always tried to find ways to do things myself but I have come to realize that not asking for help is going to hurt me worse then sticking to my stubborn ways. So here I am, a wife, mother of two (one being a t21 child) and business owner trying to ask complete strangers to pick my business help. I’m afraid if we don’t expand soon the business will start to fail and we may be looking at closing for good. Now let me tell you a little about the business, we are a clothing and accessories online store catered to women’s sizes S-3X. Being a women who struggles with finding cute, affordable clothing in plus sizes I wanted to be able to not only cater to our smaller sizes but to the larger sizes as well and we hope to one day be able to provide even larger and smaller sizes then we carry now.

Self Identified Competition
In my area my top three competitors are Vintage Bliss located in Springerville, AZ, another online boutique but also has a store front located here in town. Anna Dee Apparel located in Eagar, AZ is a clothing store front catered to not only women’s clothing but men’s as well. Western Drug located in Springerville, AZ our local drug store but also the only other store that carries clothing and accessories beside the two mentioned boutiques above. The only thing I can really say that makes me different is how I run my business. I’ve been told I’m very honest and I would rather lose a sale then ever allow someone to purchase an item I know they won’t like based on the conversation we have while shopping. I do this not only with my in person sales but with my online sales as well if they reach out via email before purchasing. I don’t believe in selling an item to someone if I know it just won’t work for them, for me I’d be hesitant to go back because I’d question if I would like any of there items.
