Funding Usage
Funding will go towards accounting expenses in the 2023-2024 school fiscal year: August to July. During COVID the school had to shut down for two years and did not have staff nor a Board Member that was filing taxes or worked on the books at all. We have since become open and busier than ever. We are serving more community members than ever before and have hired staff, an executive director and a CPA. All funding will go towards paying penalty fees from the IRS and paying our wonderful CPA that has cleaned our books, filed taxes, wrote abatement letters and helped us to be financially sound as a non-profit business. The penalty fees add up to 4,340.26 and the accounting services for the 2023-2024 fiscal year are 3,600. Evergreen Kids Corner Preschool is requesting a total of 7,940 from Grantors.

Evergreen Kids Corner plans to provide more hours of quality care, more days, create more collaborative community programs and events that are family friendly, and retain quality teachers by paying them a reflective wage. Evergreen Kids Corner (EKC) is a high-quality, state-licensed, and inclusive preschool program in Hamilton, Montana. Since 1989, EKC has been a non-profit dedicated to teaching children academic and life-skills through hands-on activities and providing opportunities to explore their indoor and outdoors and local community. Our nurturing teachers provide research-based early childhood techniques to ensure the best learning environment for both children and guardians. Many local kindergarten teachers have stated that students whom have attended EKC are well prepared socially and academically for their classes. Children are exposed to a multitude of experiences to strengthen their connection to themselves and their community. Our preschool offers year round care in our preschool program and summer program and is constantly revising our model to best fit changing community needs. We truly are a program for the community and pride ourselves on that. Evergreen is a special place for all community members to come and receive the support they need. In order to do the work we do for them, we need investors to help fund our program costs.

Self Identified Competition
Evergreen Kids Corner has created a program to unite childcare facilities to work together instead of competing with one another to better serve the rural community we live in. We are regularly meeting with other childcare facilities to give them resources and brainstorm how we can work together to help the community. With services for the community, we believe it is important to work together. .
