  • Business Plan

With online advertising through Facebook, Amazon and word of mouth. I have hired a digital publicist to help. My husband is going to be retiring from the Army after 24 years in 2025. I have stayed home raising our 4 kids and now watch my 3 yr old granddaughter full time while her parents work. I have been craving some identity outside being a mom. I would like to have a chance to help out financially, I have decided to open a small business selling on Amazon and my own website. I would like to sell things I’ve found over the years that have helped me out as a mom, saves money and space, and things that I’ve tried looking for without many choices or very expensive. My goal is to market to people like me who is just a normal mom and housewife and trying to save money and time in my life. My husband was Special Operations for years and has been gone over half our marriage. He got hurt on a bad airborne jump 4 years ago and got out of the Spec Op unit and returned to conventional Army. This has allowed him to be home. We have been able to talk about life after the Army. He has TBI from hitting his head on that jump and sacrificed so much for us the last 20 years that I feel very strongly that it’s my turn to help take some financial burden off of him. We have an Autistic 24 year old son who will live with us as well as 2 school age children still at home, so we still need to have an income on top of his retirement pay. I desperately want to have something for myself that I did and I built and I succeed at. Unfortunately, after months of researching, I did not realize how much I would actually need to get started. I’ve already used over half what I could spend on this just for things like EIN, programs, domain names and FBA. I haven’t even gotten the inventory and still need shipping and packaging money, marketing, and so much more. I do not want to give up on this. I just don’t know how to go forward with this economy and only one income on an enlisted soldier pay. I’ve looked into small business loans but wouldn’t be able to pay the monthly payment, especially since it may take months to see income coming in. Someone told me about applying for grants. We have tried to get them for my Autistic son since he is in school full time but we have never received any so I didn’t know if it was worth it. However, I am so desperate for this to succeed and not fail that I will try any way to make it work! I am so grateful there ARE programs like this that may be able to. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

  • Self Identified Competition

Amazon, eBay, Shopify I know what it is like to raise a family on one income and a budget. I will be only selling things under $100. I will not mark up prices to make the most money but instead market it for everyday working people who these products could really benefit them, while still making a profit for our family as well. I have found unconventional uses for certain products that I would not market under the niche of what I use it for, not just her the intended use is for. I will market it as if I was looking to buy it. I have researched so long and will customize things in categories that are hard to find products in.
