Funding Usage
I move my business from Overland Park to Edwardsville, which is 1 mile from my home. I have seen a higher need for pedicures with older people, and people who can’t afford to get regular service, preventive care for their feet. My desire is to move my business into my home, in an area, the basement. To do that it would require my driveway to be extended into the back, And turn the lower garage area into a walkout(removal of garage door into regular door opening. Also, a lot of other details into transforming the lower garage. Kansas state board of cosmetology have their own requirements, and I want to be 100% in compliance with that. After spending two years studying billing and coding, I have seen that the need is higher now, so much that Medicare covers some of the cost for those covered. In regard to that, I would like to expand my education into Medical Manicuring, and Utilize my instructor knowledge, and possibly in the near future teach others on this level of infection control and applying it to manicures and pedicures.

Business Plan
Since I will be at home, that will allow me the space, and the time, to Start up, and grow a professional inventory for my clients, and other nail technicians. I think infection control is the basis for all understanding in this industry regarding safety and health of my clients. I want to expand on my knowledge, and passing it on to others that are also in my industry. Covid was not enough to wake people up. There is a need just in my area and I want to fill that gap, and share the knowledge with other professionals that have the desire for senior care, and to provide quality of that care. So not only would I be able to take care of my own clients, but I would be able to expand by having a perfectly clean and hygienic atmosphere for others, and also a learning atmosphere. I truly love people, and I have grown into a place of deep concern for older people, and those who are compromised financially, but I also know the importance of being able to make money. I cannot expand where I’m at, Nor do I have the funds to do what I want to do. To whoever would invest in my little business, I could be an asset to you. They are young people coming into this industry, and I want to make it my mission to teach them that hands on, and soft skills go together. These young people are not all going to be good leaders. With my little business I know I can make a difference in the future leaders. If these young people are our future leaders, then we need more people to do something about teaching them no matter what they do they need to have concern. Soft skills, interpersonal skills, trade skills = concern.

Other nail salons that are not clean. Podiatrist offices who don’t care and butcher on peoples feet. Any salons that do not practice a high level of infection control. Beauty supply industry, who have quit offering small group classes. I care. Their hands and feet are my extensions. The empathy, compassion that I show is truth. Truth will always outweigh facts any day. I have an Innate ability.
