By The Horns Music Publishing LLC | Application Preview
By The Horns Music Publishing LLC is seeking government grants to establish a home-based music recording and production facility that will include living quarters and office space. The business aims to compose, record, and publish original sound recordings and sheet music, primarily created by Eric Fabian Hornsby.
Eric brings over 40 years of experience in the New Orleans music scene, with significant performance and production credentials, and is registered with ASCAP as both a writer and publisher. The application highlights a lack of direct competition in the area, positioning collaboration with local entities like Agee Shadow Music Group and Bamboula 2000 as key partnerships rather than rivals.
The competitive advantage lies in Eric's existing published compositions in hymnals by the Gregorian Institute of America, along with a catalog of copyrighted materials intended for future recording and distribution on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and CD Baby. Additionally, Eric has strong connections with local bands and organizations eager to support the music production process.

Business Plan
To compose, record, and publish sound recordings and sheet music written and co-written by myself, Eric Fabian Hornsby. I have over 40 years of experience in the local (New Orleans and Louisiana) music business, performing and producing. I have several music production and co-production credits. I am currently registered with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) as a writer and publisher.

Self Identified Competition
I have no real competitors in the New Orleans area, only collaborators, namely Agee Shadow Music Group (New Orleans, LA), as well as the musical group Bamboula 2000 (New Orleans, LA) who have assisted my organization in recording and performing my compositions. I have a few compositions that are already published in hymnals administered by the Gregorian Institute of America (GIA Publishing Incorporated). I have many more copyrighted materials I wish to record and make available to the public through online music forums (Apple Music, Spotify, CD Baby, etc.). I am associated with many different local bands and musical organizations who are waiting to assist with music production.
