Bad Habitz Productions | Application Preview
Bad Habitz Productions is seeking government grants to support its mission of creating documentaries focused on veterans and their issues. The funding will be allocated toward essential equipment such as cameras, lighting, audio gear, and film editing software, as well as for office rental, insurance, payroll, and a production vehicle.
The business intends to specialize in documentary filmmaking that highlights the challenges faced by veterans, with plans to submit these films to film festivals and television networks. A key component of the initiative is to provide training for veterans, equipping them with skills needed for careers in the film industry. While the current focus is on South Louisiana, there are aspirations to expand the documentary work to other states.
The proposal emphasizes the importance of addressing veteran issues that are not adequately handled by existing government systems. By creating impactful content and offering training, the aim is not only to shed light on these challenges but also to empower veterans to find their own paths to employment in the media sector.
In terms of competition, while there are other documentary projects, none specifically concentrate on veterans' experiences and issues. The unique competitive edge lies in the founder's background as a 20-year female veteran with a 100% disability rating. This personal connection, combined with an immersive “docufollow” approach that captures real-life experiences of veterans, sets the project apart by fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and solutions within the veteran community.

Business Plan
I'm specializing in documentaries dealing with veterans and veteran issues. I plan to submit the documentaries to film festivals and networks. I also plan to train veterans in different functions of the film industry so that they can work in the industry. While currently working just in South Louisiana, I would like to expand to do documentaries in other states on veterans. I'm working on Veteran Issues that need to be addressed and fixed that are currently not being fixed in the governmental system now. I want to help other veterans to get the much needed help they deserve and to help train them in different aspects of the film industry to get jobs on their own.

Self Identified Competition
Other documentary shows would be my competitors but none are dedicated to documentaries on veterans and their issues. I am a 20 year female veteran who is 100% disabled. I will be using a style of documenting called docufollow where I am out "boots on the ground" with the veteran getting their point of view on everything. Not only showing the issues at hand but how veterans and the community can help each other.
