LB4 INC 462460369 | Government Grant Application

LB4 INC | Application Preview

LB4 INC is seeking a government grant to fund an employee responsible for managing its online store and to help cover rising rent costs. The business plan highlights the need for this grant to facilitate growth by allowing the hiring of additional staff, which is currently unaffordable due to high salary demands in the competitive market.

The owner has invested her retirement savings in the boutique, aiming to provide personalized customer service and a local shopping alternative amidst the decline of corporate clothing stores. The application emphasizes the importance of offering a supportive shopping environment for women in the community.

In terms of competition, LB4 INC faces significant challenges from major players like Amazon and Walmart, as well as other large online women's clothing stores. However, the business sets itself apart by focusing on community engagement and supporting local women by providing tailored clothing options that cater to both professional and casual needs. All earnings are reinvested in the local economy, reinforcing its commitment to the community.

  • Funding Usage

I would use the grant for funding an employee to manage an online store. I would also use it to help pay for increasing rent

  • Business Plan

This grant would give me the opportunity to grow my business by hiring an employee to help build my online business. Employees are currently demanding so much money for this position that I can't afford to pay them since I am such a small business. I would also grow my business by establishing a convenient location for women to shop within my community. I put my entire retirement into opening my Boutique 10 years ago when so many corporate owned clothing stores where closing. I wanted to provide women a place where they could get outstanding one on one customer service and an option to still shop locally.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors are Amazon, Walmart, and all the large women's online stores. My difference is that I am a local woman helping other local women find clothing items that fit them for their jobs or for just casual wear. Everything I earn stays right in my community.
